Geez, I hated it when Robert Griffin III went to the Commanders, and now I hate it even more.

What a classy, intelligent, tremendous person he is, in addition to being a nightmare for us for the next decade plus on the football field.

This is what RGIII said to Romo on the field afterward:

“Hey Tony. I just wanted to say to you, don’t listen to what anybody else is saying about you. You’re a great quarterback, man. And this game doesn’t mean anything,” Griffin said to Romo, in comments that will air Wednesday night on Showtime’s Inside the NFL.

Griffin knew of the offseason Romo faced coming up. Football fans, in general, know almost nothing about football. It's embarassing.

Good on you, Robert. Well done. You deserve a better uniform.

RGIII was terrible on Sunday. The damn 6th rounder is who tore the defense a new one. Without him the Commanders are out of it week 8.

And who cares what this ******* says? This is a Cowboys message board, not a RGIII worship club. The amount of love this guy gets on this board is disgusting. I hope the punk gets sacked 20 times this week. (Not wishing injuries or anything...just quite a few painful lessons in sack techniques.)

RGIII wasn't terrible, hindered maybe but not terrible. Griffin is from Texas and decent people realize a gentleman. You, on the other hand deserve all the bad things you are feeling right now.

We gave the Rams ONE 2nd and TWO 1st to move up to their 1st round spot. So we spent 3-1sts and 1-2nd on him.

We have our 2nd rounder this year. we gave them our 2nd last year.

That's actually the part I found to be outstanding. I wish everyone on this board understood it.

This is not even sports to us fans, it is entertainment. To them, they are playing a game.

The next time you watch any game, imagine this. There are no fans or even seats at the game and all that noise is gone. It feels weird to watch what looks like few grown up getting together to play a game.

We, the fans, make all the noise and invest emotionally in those games. We ought to be smarter than think it is anything more than entertainment and that it means much. Real life is a lot more important.

I love watching the Cowboys play, but would skip it to be with a family member. That's just my opinion though.

For some people, the NFL is very important. For those 3 hours, they can forget about life for a while. Those fans live and die for their respective teams. For him to say that the game "means nothing", IMO, is a disservice to the fans. I think he could have phrased it better.

He surely doesn't seem to be a McNabb as a person or a QB, but I think he was just being what any good person and fellow QB would be: consoling to the other team's QB in a loss. But I think it's a little out of place for a rookie to be praised for saying such a statement, especially to a guy like Romo who wasn't given anything, from being drafted to being in the position he is right now. The media likes its shiny new pet cat and can turn on it in an instant. Romo was that pet cat once.

Honestly, I don't see big success for RG3 in Washington. That organization is more jacked up than Jerry's circus by a mile.

He might be in for a Romo-like career himself in that cesspool.

Seattle is going to kill them, as they would have Dallas.

Come on we all love Toney except for that losing when it counts thing, but you have to admit RG is so far ahead of him talent wise (and I hate we face him for a career). I hate the rams even more for letting him go. I know some folks in STL that are really pissed as well that they did not take him. As long as JJ keeps thinking he's a GM it won't get better. I'd say the fact that he gets praised for a Tim Tebow-like performance of 100 yards passing on a 50% completion percentage should be enough to hate him.

Romo gets killed for that. Win or lose.
