No Vince Young= No national championship for Texas.
Thats the point I want to make. You could have put Vince Young on about 5-6 different teams last year and they probably would have won the National Championship. He was that good. Like I said best college Quarterback ever. He Mack Brown-proofed the longhorns last year. You can win with a Jay Barker, Josh Heupel or Tee Martin, but expect to win, thats a whole different story. The NC last year was a whole lot more about Vince Young than it was Mack Brown and Coaching.
I can't seem to find Vince's defensuive and special teams stats, do you think you could post them. From what you say about him he must have thrown the ball, caught it, ran it, blocked for himself, and kicked the xp. Then he lined up on defense, and apparently returned kicks.
Oh, you mean there were 21 other starters besides Vince?
How about these stats...
Rice (2005)
101 yds passing, 0 tds, 1 int.
77 yds rushing, 0 tds
I'm sure he really carried the team in that game, or was it Jamaal Charles and his 189 yds, 11.8 avg, and 3 tds.
Or maybe it was the defense that only allowed 99 yds passing, 110 yds rushing, and 10pts.
How about the game against A&M...
Vince- 162 yds passing, 1 td, 1 int
19 yds rushing, 1.7 avg, 0 td.
Vince really starred in that game. Good thing Texas was able to rely on him carrying him.
Maybe it was more Ramonce Taylor's 102 yds, 2 tds, and Henry Melton's Td, along with the punt block Cedric Griffin returned for a TD. I think those were a little more instrumental in the win than Vince's stellar 1 td/1 int.
