Wasn't it Ray Lewis that said we were the most predictable offense they played last year?
Is it really that predictable?
Opinions?

I like the quote someone else threw out a few weeks ago.

How can it be predictable when not even Jason Garrett knows what we're going to do from week to week?

Even if it was the 1990s Cowboys were predictable.

Execution>> playcalling variety

It was predictable to the tune of 350 yards and 4.0 ypc. Piss off Chargers defense.

Maybe if they're referring to the 4th down goalline play....I think everyone knew what was going to happen there.

Garret purposely does that to create deception but the problem is if you never throw your curveballs than your going to get hammered.

I didnt see any comments from their defensive people other than about the GL runs. The offensive people said they knew what Wade was going to do though. Maybe we should can him this week.

I agree. I'm sure everyone knew when Michael Jordan was running a isolation he was going to be the one who shot the final shot. I'm sure when Brees goes into a 5 receiver set that he's throwing the football. I'm sure when Vikings are in a goal line offense they know Peterson is getting the ball. That doesn't make it any easier to stop.

The Cowboys ran every play in the 1st half. Didn't make it any easier to stop. And btw, I don't think the Chargers did a good job of stopping the 'Boys yesterday.

I can see that from Garrett but when I think there's potential of a curveball it seems like either A)the Cowboys get a penalty and are forced to 3rd and long or B) Get stuffed in the backfield.

Including the outcome - which is the point of this thread.

This is one of the worst underachieving red-zone offenses the Cowboys have had in the histiry of their franchise when viewed in relation to their overall potential.

Thrre is no question that the predictable play calling, especially in the red zone, is the reason for the consistent failure.

So what? The same thing could be said about any game that was played Sunday.I watched a little bit of the Toxins game.Guess what? I could pretty much call run or pass when either Seattle or Houston had the ball.

Shouldn't San Diego have held this team to 0 points and less than 100 yards total offense if they knew so much?

Amazing how everytime someone calls out our offense as predictable, there's a million excuses as to why that doesn't matter.

If the other team knows what you're doing, there's a problem. Doesn't matter who's to blame. There's a problem.

Exactly what i'm thinking. If you knew so much explain why the Cowboys did exactly what they wanted to do against your team?

If the Chargers linebacker understands it,why doesn't Jason Garrett understand it? It should have been play action, DUH!!!!! Something I've been saying for the past 4 weeks, when they sell out to stop the run go play action.

"Dallas' first good scoring chance ended with a field goal that put it ahead 3-0. On the next deep drive, Marion Barber got to the 1 on first down, then was stuffed on three straight runs. The Cowboys moved him from halfback to fullback on the fourth-down play, but it didn't fool anyone.
"He's not getting paid to block," said linebacker Tim Dobbins, who was in on all three tackles from the 1. "We knew it was going to be a flip or a dive. I don't even know what they were thinking. I don't know if they watch film or what."

Really dumb........

Right, if it's all about execution, we should just line up and run the same play every down.

Ouch. Given where I was (around the opposite 20) I couldn't tell exactly what we were running. That said, the next time we were in the redzone, Garrett had a pretty sweet play drawn up for the TD to Miles.

Did so much? They got a bunch of yards but only 10 points, accumulating the stats in garbage time when the game was already won.

They stopped the Cowboys from scoring=point of playing defense.

Or perhaps there's a middle ground than staking out positions on two extreme ends?
