He'll go practice squad and get picked up by someone else, unfortunately.

I doubt it,they said we drafted him because itd be difficult to outbid for him, we wont take that risk of losin, unless we have a ton of injuries or he doesnt show any signs of pickin the game back up, however slowly....

I like it. I didn't think he would get drafted but hope we would bring him to camp. There was an article about him in SI a few months ago. The football coach has been trying to get him on the football field for years and there was some talk he would stay at Baylor for a 5 year and play a year at Baylor. Gathers has two brothers. One is high on the all time sack list Georgia Tech. The other was also a supposedly a very good football player but got hurt. I think I have that right.

When I saw Baylor TE, my heart skipped a beat. Thought we had drafted McGowan, the 400 lb actual TE. Sound like Rico has more upside, but talk about intriguing. If this guy's still available, he'd be worth a UDFA look!

I feel like I'm the only person ok with this pick. It's nearly the seventh round and you take a flier on an athletic specimen. Will it work out? Probably not. Very few late sixths/sevenths do though, so it's ok.

I disagree, Cowboys waste too many picks this way. They could have went Peake, Braverman or Vadal Alexander here. Personally I would have gone Peake.
This guy has zero chance of making the team this year.

Fasano and Bennett went on to have good careers, both left Dallas being developed quite well.
