I route for Rico. I hope he can keep grinding and win that spot. He needs to understand the offense AND remember what to run when the play is called. I really feel if plays this season and has one more camp this guy will be a beast. I'd love to see him in the 12 personel that the patriots used to run with gronkowski and Hernandez.. Dak could use a guy like Rico with his size and athleticism. All he would have to do is throw the ball up and let Rico get it. He would be Dez as Dak is romo. Dez didn't do to much if any route running at the beginning either. So let's let Rico score some points and catch some passes for us until he gets it. Its like Geoff swain vs Rico, swaim, Rico. Give me a break it's obvious Rico is a better talent than swaim when you talk about just catching and scoring. Which is the name of the game. The potential is there and its very very high. So you're going to tell me you'd cut a potential star for a role player just because he is sharper RIGHT NOW at knowing routes and blocking. I'd like to see Rico so that I can see how much he has grown. I'll just take what I saw last preseason. Rico can get up the field and even when he is covered he is open because he is like 6'7" 280 lbs that can move. There is no way I cut him. He can score right now. Coach Garrett wants to use that tightends are an integral part of the run and passing game stuff as a way to keep swaim ahead of him. I understand a little you don't want Rico to be complacent or for him to over evaluate himself. Thats cool but this guy needs time on the field this year and the one more camp and he should have it down. It's like that movie drumline sort of. Your le trying to belittle him because he can't read sheet music but who cares if he can play the drums good. Rico can catch and score points which is the name of the game , he can learn the technicalities later.
