yea i know. guess what im saying is why not wait to use IR on someone we know will be out for a while. Rico can't come back until week 9. if he needs that long to recover from the concussion, thats scary.

Hitch isn't expected to be out 8 weeks anymore, there are a couple articles out there suggesting it could be a good bit sooner than that.

Best to play it safe with a head injury, I suppose.

Rico Gathers hasn't responded well since suffering the concussion and is also behind James Hanna and Geoff Swaim on the depth chart.

Gathers would be unlikely to dress for games right now, so they decided to move him to IR and open a roster spot.

That's been the plan some in the media have been singing since Moore was cut. I assume the Cowboys staff "leaked" this so there would be no misunderstanding about the Moore cut. The team likes him and wants him on the roster. I don't agree with it, but at least we didn't lose anyone we needed to keep. Granted, that roster spot could be better used ... which is why I wouldn't have kept him. I'd rather have seen Nzeocha stay.

But who knows, when the other Moore or Irving comes back, maybe Dallas will decide it doesn't need to carry three QBs.

A player will be removed from the roster in some fashion to accommodate the return of a suspended player.

When are people gonna realize Kellen is a team player....and this was part of the plan all along? All KM does...is what is best for the team. If they need a roster spot...fine. Have my seat for few days...Couldn't ask for a better teammate. Wouldn't shock me to find out this was his idea all along.
