Rico's catch

Should've gone down on the tackle. Put his inexperienced butt in prime position for a strip.

Outside that, yeah, good job.

I have been a critic of Rico and still am, but his catch looked different to me. In this case, He ran a route accurately and was rewarded with a catch. That may sound simple, but he has looked lost all along. That play looked “normal”, like a semi-regular should look

A step in the right direction

He has clearly improved as the season has progressed. I went from wanting to give him plenty of time to not caring if he was cut once Broaddus said he still didn't know the plays. But at this point, he could easily be the starter next year if he keeps up this rate of progression.

Both catches this year have been easy NFL catches. I'm not impressed. I've heard all about his so called rebounding skills and size. Neither have shown so far.

Look at gates and graham. Early in gates career they did not use him as blocker they split him out and brought in a blocker. Graham doesn't block at all.

I know it was just one play, but just like last week, it was a big play that we need to see more of. With Swaim's emergence, adding Rico as a weapon would make the TE position go from a weakness to a strength. If we can't make Rico a red zone threat, then make him a chain mover. I know he's green, but he's like a big bull out there catching the ball.
Rico is the Red Zone threat. Dallas needs to use him a lot more. I know that myself and @waldoputty have said this a million times.:hammer:
