After reading these threads blaming everything from the refs, to calling the Steelers thieves, ragging all over Big Ben & even Eli from last year, I'm feeling sick right now.
Have we really sunk to that level? Is everything an excuse when it comes to Romo or TO, & yet we've forgotten to even acknowledge a GREAT SUPER BOWL when we've seen one?
Really?
So now the Steelers 6 rings ain't legit, & the Giants title last year is invalid,
because the refs stole it for Pittsburgh, & Eli got "lucky"- whatever that means!
Yet Tony Romo, & TO, are sitting at home watching clutch peformance
after clutch performance- and all we have left is whining.

How PATHETIC is that?:bang2:

This mentality CAN'T be representative of Cowboy's fans, cause if it is
then we deserve everything we've gotten the last 13 years!
I'm ashamed I clicked on this thread..... :)

the irony is by whining about other fans whining you're also whining and therefor just as sad

So, better to stay silent, thereby giving tacit acquiesence to the BS?

Is it better to just sit back & read the garbage that's being spewed?
Ever hear that old saying that "evil truimphs when men of good will
stay silent"- ever heard of that?

Call me what you want- but i'd rather make it absolutely clear where
I stand, instead of standing by & "assuming" that others feel the way
I do!

so you are saying that by pointing out the poor officiating that we are good men and you by defending them are a bad man

perspective man

what in your mind is evil in another man's mind might be justifiable...

too many times we take our own beliefs and assume they are the ones to have and that all other beliefs are wrong...well I have news for you mister it is all about perspective and that is the paradox of truth

If you are so ashamed, why dont you go find a new team that will make you happy.

There were several calls that were clearly wrong and overall the officiating was tilted in the Steeler's favor. Now considering how the Steelers benefited from one-sided officiating in their previous SB win, dont you think it might be justified to question the officiating this time???

And for the record, Holmgreen said after the last SB against Pitt that he did not realize his team was "playing against the refs also"...........so I guess Holmgreen is now a whinner for questioning how legit Pitt's previous SB win was.

It is YOUR opinion that the game was officiated fairly, I am sure others have different opionions.....In other words, just because you say it doesnt make it any more correct than what somebody else says, they are both opinions.

I'm not ashamed. I'm POed.

I'm POed at the refs for calling an uneven game (although I don't blame them.) I'm POed at the Cardinals for their lousy tackling and allowing the Steelers to drive most of the field in 2 minutes. I'm POed at the Steelers for winning their 6th trophy.

But most of all, I'm POed at the Cowboys for not making the most of the last two seasons.

I'll never be ashamed of being a Cowboy fan despite some fans that basically are poor sports. Any time a team they don't like wins the excuses come flying of how the refs cheated the other team but that has nothing to do with being a Cowboy fan.

Why would you be ashamed of being a Dallas Cowboys fan?

However, I do agree about constant whining.

If the shoe were on the other foot, the Cowboys were winning Super Bowls and Steelers fans were leveling the same criticism our way, these same individuals would brush them off as being "bitter" and "sore losers".

Whats bad is the "hey lets go look at the Commanders board people whining" after a loss people but we can't even win with this team without the entire board being in turmoil.

Even Pre-season football around here is stupid.

Great Super Bowl?

Please. Some people are either short-sighted or just plain young.

The last "great" Super Bowl was Denver/Green Bay. This Super Bowl doesn't compare at all.

Of course these are ALL opinions.... INCLUDING yours :p: but there is no denying that the last two have been back to back classics(yet another opinion - mine :p:)

The last 2 SBs - tit for tat TD's in the closing minutes. Pats thought they sealed the deal then GIants score.

Cards thought they sealed the deal - then the Stealers score and win.

As far as football goes - two great SB's

Extreme emotions tend to be demonstrated when you have a fanbase that cares so much for a franchise.

Furthermore, despite popular belief that Cowboyszone has the market cornered on "extremism", what you described occurs on just about every Team Messageboard on the Internet.

Have you ever heard a Cowboy fan base that didn't question playcalling / coaching?

It may be fair right now to do this but we could be the most well coached team in the league and this would be a complaint.

As someone who lives in Steeler country, let me give my version of what the Steelers congratulatory/parade speech might include:

"Well first of all, we thank KC for taking out Tom Brady, leading to the Patriots not making the playoffs and thus making the road easier for us, (by a long shot), to make it to the super bowl.

Next, we'd like to thank the way the playoff system is set up so that we were able to play two teams that shouldn't have even been in the playoffs with the records they had going into it, ie San Diego 8-8 Arizona 9-7. Additionally, we thank the almighty gods of football that Arizona, mediocrity bar none, made the super bowl at all, thanks to the Panthers and Eagles inconsistency, (not to mention the Giants misfortune of losing Burress and Umi,) thus insuring our sixth super bowl victory.

And of course our gratitude wouldn't be complete without thanking "America's Team", the Dallas Cowboys, for their incompetent coaching staff, for the injury bug that hit them mid-season, and, of course, for a QB who'd give Wild Bill Hickok a run for his money. Another giant bit the dust. Yea, for us!!!

And finally, we'd like to thank the Baltimore Ravens for a not quite ready for primetime rookie QB, but who nonetheless beat Tennessee and gave us HFA throughout the playoffs. And golly gee whiz, weren't we lucky that we didn't have to play the Colts and the Titans in our ultimately successful quest to be the first ones to win Super Bowl number 666?

Oh no!!!!!!
"

A bit over the top ya think? Too much unclassy whining? I don't care. You have to admit that's incredibly lucky.

But having said all that, the Steelers have a great organization and the Rooney's deserve all the good fortune that comes to them.

Additionally, the 'mediocre' Cardinals played a whale of a game. Kudos to them. Love the Fitz guy. (Memo to TO and Roy: learn from that beast.)
