If we're so worried about Lawrence and Irving then we need to cut ties. We can't pour 1st round picks into their backups because we can't trust them.

We used a first round pick on Taco, specifically for his upside.

I won't rule it out in the event that talent slips, and an end is the clear BPA. But how often does that happen these days? IMO, we can't treat it as a top 5 need, now that Lawrence has broken out (maybe Irving, too).

I think your correct but that doesn't preclude drafting DE in later rounds.Plus Lewis is in the wings and making noise.

I agree with all these guys, still feel there will be a shake up with some background info I have heard. You are so far ahead of me in the scouting this year. I am barely through the QB's and WR's. Thank goodness we do not need a QB. Clearly we will not be picking in the top half of the first round, hoping the need for QB allows some defensive talent to fall our way in the back half. At some point I personally need to make a decision as to whether or not Jaylon Smith is a long term solution as that will dictate most of my draft philosophy.
