This has " we are starting Terry Glenn" written all over it.

May be an advantage due to recent struggles with short yardage, and Free needs to rest after running 50 yards to get that last block for Felix to score! Both studs in different ways.!

You can't play with 2 or 3 drives and HOPE Colombo is back to his old self. Stay with the good thing, keep Colombo active incase something happens. If it ain't broke, don't fix it.

If Columbo is having any kind of trouble, then the coaches will put Free back in there, but Marc has been a warrior for us since he got here and he deserves to be out there if he's healthy.
Joshmvii;3207630 said:I don't mean it's the same situation as Ware, as obviously it's very different. However, the other guys on the O-Line are going to be pumped to have their teammate they've been playing alongside back in action.
The coaches obviously think that a healthy Columbo gives us a better chance to win.

But ... I cringe at tinkering with things that upset chemistry, especially in the playoffs.
You say he's been here several years, so it helps chemistry ... decent point, he is comfortable alongside Davis ... when he's healthy.
If this team is going to make a championship run, I contend its trial by fire was the last stretch of the season, fighting through the "December slump" predictions and shaking off the Giants and Chargers losses to really end in a groove.
Colombo was not a part of that bonding process, didn't play a single snap during the stretch run that got them here.
I can't get in these guys' heads, and they're the pros. But for Free to prepare all week as a sub (I'm assuming Colombo has taken nearly all the first-team reps) and then potentially be thrown into a playoff game ... against the attacking Eagles ... when there's obviously been a problem at RT with Colombo (injury or leaking) ... that's asking a lot, in my opinion.
Yeagermeister;3207474 said:Columbo has been the starter for 3 or 4 years why would it throw off the chemistry? If he's 100% it should help the chemistry.
