You believe in Columbo and that's allright, but to compare the change with ware coming back??? c'mon

I like Marc, but in football, No, you don't deserve to play by what you've done but what you can do.now... and I don't think Columbo back from injury is better than Free for that game. I would be glad to be wrong.

You know this how?

Fact is, you don't lose your job to injury and second, we aren't there to watch practice and see what's really going on.

The coaching staff is not going to just play someone because of name, they are going to play someone because they are better.

There's a reason that Colombo was the starter and Free the back up. Now Free makes one good play on national TV and he should start? Uh No....

Colombo is a mean SOB and he is a much better run blocker than Free. He might not be as athletic but he's overall better. If he's ready to go, he's the starter.

Doug Free's been a beast, that's for sure.

Chemistry shouldn't be an issue - Free jumped in there and it's like we didn't lose a step.

I still like Free pulling and blocking 30 yards downfield more than Colombo though.

We'll see what happens. I think we win no matter what.

It's a question of health and practice. Marc just started practicing, you cant tell me that he is at full game strength and timing after being out for two months. In that sense, it is analogous to the Terry Glenn debacle two years ago. Not exactly the same given their positions but not as laughable as suggested.

I don't think that we can risk blowing even one series tomorrow on an offensive lineman that isn't back up to speed. I hope that he gets some garbage time play in and we can start next week, but less than full practice in a shortened week doesn't seem like sufficient preparation after so much time away from the game IMO.

If Colombo is in the last game some thing is done about the late hit on Romo.

Dallas has struggle to run the ball in short yardage situations in recent weeks. Many of those runs have been to the right side. It is possible that having Colombo back will improve those situations.

Didn't he start practicing last week?

IF Columbo is at 100%, you plug him back in there....I don't see why there is even a question about it. Yes, Free has played wonderful....that was a bonus and now we don't need to worry about a lineman going down as bad as we did before.

Besides, if Columbo IS at 100% and he rotates Free and Columbo???? Think about it...we are keeping that side of the line FRESH! This could work out GREAT!

I seem to recall reading that Colombo had graded out as the best performing lineman on our team, which I was frankly surprised to read., They said that's why it had been such a big loss when he went down.

So if he's ready (and apparently he is) then plug him in for fifteen or twenty plays.

Free will be the starter.

Because Columbo will be caged and ejected after the first play when he snaps Trent Cole's spine, decapitates Assante Samuel and pile drives broderick Bunkley head first into the turf. But they will have to sedate him before they can retrieve Ed Hochuli's bloody corpse out of his maw. :D

Gotta get him going for a long playoff run.......never know if an injury occurs up and down the OLine....hope not, but that is football.

get him a few snaps under his belt to get his game face back on. He does bring an attitude to the Oline.

But I can see Philly probably designing a few blitz paks that side to test him early on.

I agree and Free has been getting help on passing downs as well.

That's so funny, no I'm not there to see the practice, but I wasn't there last year neither and I could tell you Jonhson was not a QB anymore.

Columbo just started to practice and you think he is ready???
Just hope it is true. And I will be so glad if he is.

That's not the point at all.
Let's just start Free since he is playing well beside Davis and bring Columbo sometimes in short yard play and let just get him back slowly in the game.

You don't get back after weeks inactive without practicing and be at your best. And mostly on Oline cause it is a lot of timing not just power.
