Apples to oranges. You're clearly a DiMaggio fanboy, though, so it doesn't really matter what anyone else says.

But seriously.

I hear ya. Not trying to be difficult... But, for me, you have to break into the 40's to start to get close... High 40's then the pressure is on.

No one in recent history has approached the record.

Paul Molitor in 1987 at 39 games. (Jimmy Rollins at 38 games spanning two different seasons)

Again, nice.. Commendable, applause, applause. Great accomplishment.

A Yankee fan, DiMaggio is way before me. Not really a fanboy of his but I appreciate the 56 plus the following 20 something streak after the streak was broken.

Something like getting at least one hit in 75 out of 76 games. I don't feel like looking it up. :)

They aren't anything until they win 3 in a row (ala those Bulls teams, Jordan played Baseball, and then they won another 3), or win at least 5 or 6 titles. Then talk.

And the 1960's Celtics say the Bulls aren't crap because they didn't win 8 in a row in 10 out of 11 or something like that.
I think the Bulls would win, but the Warriors are playing in a much more restrictive salary cap era than the 95 Bulls did.
