It is.

That's all about getting good health care. Folks who'd otherwise die young can go deep into the 70s with proper care

Much more likely it was a genetic defect that finally took his life. Not a thing anyone can do about that.

Genetic defects are sorta rare whereas lack of proper health care is sorta common. Yet you call a genetic defect "more likely?" That's some great logic right there.

Guys, a former Cowboy died, which is a sad thing. Do we really need to get into an argument over the causes? Let the poor guy rest in peace.

I was making a broader point about the league not taking care of former players. Sorry you don't think that is important

Activist comments are not apropos on a thread meant to commemorate a persons life. Do you not understand it is bad form?

I'm sorry - you don't get to define what is or isn't appropriate. Not what is or isn't "activism"

It is, in my view, entirely appropriate to be unhappy about an unnecessary death. You, on the other hand, appear to believe hollow "thoughts and prayers" statements are meaningful.

He was a four year starter at KANSAS U. played cornerback for the tuna, the article I googled said he showed up to play college ball one year with a bullet lodged in his bicep and practiced/ played with it as the Dr. believed it was the safest call,,, ( he lived in Detroit) that article was post FEB.17 2017 and stated he'd passed away the week prior,,, from what I took away was he was a motivated dude and self confident,, Damn! 37 years is a pretty short span above ground.
R.I.P.

(Sheese! I googled the same link the O.P. POSTED,,
that's pretty lame in anybody's book,,,I'm spending entirely too much time around here.)
