Just having George Burns playing God was brilliant.Combining George Burns and John Denver on camera for Oh, God! was Reiner's genius at its best.

He died a few years before Oh, God! was made but I really think Jack Benny could have been just as good as George Burns playing God. Maybe a touch better in my opinion.

His "somewhat effeminate delivery?"He was definitely funny, and he had that "look at me" type personality, but I stand by my previous statement. I just couldn't see him in that role...and I think his somewhat effeminate delivery would've offended a certain group of people.
