Lol. I met Ponch.Ok Daboys, you still have Captain Kirk, Six Millon Dollar Man, and Officier Poncharello
I always wondered why the theme song was originally, "...with Gilligan, The Skipper too, a millionaire and his wife, a movie star, and the rest...". Who thought it was so much harder to sing, "the Professor and Mary Ann" than to sing, "and the rest"?Lucky for me, one of my crushes was the Dallas Cowboys.
RIP Dawn, we will miss you more than you could know.
Did you know Bob Denver (Gilligan) demanded they include 'The Professor and Mary Ann' in the credits? Dawn was business savvy at the time with a lawyer husband to get royalties off Gilligan's Island. She was the only one to do so. She also took care of Natalie Shafer in her later years and became her sole heir. I blame YouTube and Wiki late at night for information.
That was actually my favorite part of the song.I always wondered why the theme song was originally, "...with Gilligan, The Skipper too, a millionaire and his wife, a movie star, and the rest...". Who thought it was so much harder to sing, "the Professor and Mary Ann" than to sing, "and the rest"?
The original or the second version? That was actually my favorite part of the song.
Second. The song wasn't complete until they added The Professor AND Mary ANN.The original or the second version?
I agree. It was just lazy and silly that they weren't in the original song. Maybe the writers were thinking of killing them off!Second. The song wasn't complete until they added The Professor AND Mary ANN.
