RIP Gale Sayers

One of the first real books that I read as a youngster was his "I Am Third". I always admired this gentleman. My best to his loved ones.

What a fun player to watch. It's a shame injuries cut his career so short.

Another icon from my childhood gone. Could cut, stop and go on a dime. Barry Sanders reminded me of him. RIP.

Not being mean but I thought he had already passed away a long time ago. Guess that's what I get for thinking

Also saw Animal of the Road Warriors just died....rough morning......2 legends.

I honestly haven't seen him in awhile. Seems like that was his MO. You see all of these guys all of the time but he's one of the ones I never see.

Absolutely electric player. Once scored six touchdowns in a game against the 49ers. Had modern surgical techniques been available when he wrecked his knee, perhaps his career wouldn't have been as short. RIP to the Kansas Comet.

Sayers was battling dementia in his later years, and that's why he wasn't in public view.

Man 2020 is rough

Sad news. Sayers was one of the best RBs in NFL history. RIP.
