***Rip Garrett Thread***

Thats is ******** to pin this on Garrett. Real ********.

No way...it is very warranted. I wish someone could show the amount of time that was left on the clock from continously throwing the ball with a large lead. Jus rediculous.

Agreed. It's all on Garrett. After the first INT, why do you continue to put the ball in Romo's hands and ask him to make plays when we're running the ball so well? Why have Romo force the ball vertically downfield when we have the ball with four minutes left?

Nothing makes sense. Garrett can't reel in Romo if he can't reel in himself.

We were running the ball well?:banghead:

Ran obvious pass plays that got picked off. Didn't use the run like he should of. A couple of punts wouldn't have killed us. He and Romo get the blame for this. The buck stops with the coach.

Not anywhere ready for Garrett to be fired but he needs to be told to start looking for an OC to bring in here or start looking for another job.

I have nothing to rip Garrett for. It's not his fault his QB once again decided to play for the other team.

He had a brilliant gameplan, had the game well in hand and then his franchise player decided to gift the Lions the game.

Garrett could have taken the ball from Tony.

He didn't.

He was the supreme enabler in this situation.

If we run the ball every single down up 27-3, this is a win. Terrible coaching, terrible execution by the qb.

Thought Rob Ryan's group was pretty damn good against a good offense too. What a shame.

It stuns me how much slack Cowboys fans cut Jason Garrett. Already in this thread people are quick to rush and defend him. Never before have I seen a Cowboys player or coach who can do no wrong like Garrett.

This loss is on him as much as Romo. We were running the ball great in the second half but he continued to neglect it by trying to force the vertical passing game.

This is on the money.

A 24 point lead and your much maligned running game is working but he just can't help himself, just has to throw that football.

Pass-pass-pass!

I feel bad for Rob Ryan, once again the offense costs his defense another game.

Let it rip on Red and his players

How dare he put all that pressure on little Tony Romo, he can't help himself. Garrett for be ashamed for putting Romo in the spotlight like that!

Agreed. He should know Romo is mentally capable of the spotlight and the pressure that comes with being a QB. Just a ****ing half *** taxi driver

Once again and I will continue to remind everyone of this, Jimmy Johnson said after the Jets loss that you have to protect Romo from himself and Garrett did/will not so he bears some of the blame but he did not throw three interceptions.

And he always has been and always will be. His love affair with the passing game is borderline ridiculous.

Romo is mainly to blame for forcing passes but Garrett's hands aren't spotless.

Truest thing I've read in a while.

its not garret fault tony romo throws the ball to the other team. Romo had runningbacks open out of the backfield but he went for the big play even though we was up by 24 points.:bang2:

Romo deserves TONS of blame (esp the last pick) but RUN when you're up by 24!!!!!!!! Inexcusable play calling unless it was Romo being stupid and audibling out of runs to pass. So much for learning from the Jets disaster. I cannot believe that happened. 14 points off picks?!! It takes effort to lose a game like that - esp with a D that was playing well. I've never seen a team that goes out of its way to give games away like this. Now we have to sit on that disaster for 2 weeks and go to NE. This just feels like a cruel joke. I really wish I didn't care so much about this team and football in general. I hate this. We should be celebrating right now. I really cannot believe they did that...I hate this.

OK, running the ball "well" is exaggerating, but we averaged 3.7 YPC in the second half.

So you have the ball with four minutes left. If you get your average on the first two carries, you eat a minute and a half off the clock and set yourself up with a 3rd and short.

But that's too easy for this group of morons, isn't it?

you and people like you are morons. we need a football IQ test so you morons can talk football. there is 5 min gone in the second half and you want us to do nothing but run the rest of the game.

Every time they throw the ball to Dez in single coverage he wins but yet we force the ball to Robinson. The one pick that Romo underthrew Witten Dez was one on one, throw it up. They just trot Dez out as the reciever furthest from the QB and use him as a decoy. Whens the last time we seen Bryant run a slant. Detriot went to their big boy but we didn't. That didn't lose us the game but I think that would of won us the game if we did.
