***Rip Garrett Thread***

The lesson in this thread seems to be:

When things go well, credit will be spread around to the QB, HC and the rest of the team.

But when things go poorly, the HC will share in none of the responsibility.....if his name is Jason Garrett.

There's no patience with him.

His lack of experience continues to show.

Even when the running game is working, he won't stuck with it.

Up by 24 and their offense was doing nothing. Still have to sling it.

He just loves him some pass plays...

:banghead:

my question is will he ever learn?

Hey look, I'm as much against after-the-fact Monday Morning Quarterbacking as your are.

But I think some awareness of the situation is called for in a case like this. The team was collapsing underneath itself, and our quarterback had thrown two pretty costly interceptions. It's not a terrible idea to not ask that same quarterback to save the day with a hero play.

I understand that he was taking a gamble and trying to catch the defense off guard, but we really needed to chew some time off the clock and set Romo up with a manageable 3rd down. Not put him in a position to make a hero play on 1st and 10 when he was obviously struggling.

I'm not calling for Garrett's head, but it sure would have been nice to see some situational awareness out of him there.

definitely. Should have played it safe and let Romo settle down.

Garrett has never learned. He's still pass happy whether down by 2 in the first half or up by 24 in the 2nd half.

But he's Jerry's boy, as is Romo, so nothing will change and this team will never be more than a tease as long as the current GM, HC and QB are here.

Of course. Because Garrett is young, articulate, he's got ties to Jimmy Johnson, he's not overweight, and he doesn't have dumb/confused expressions on the sidelines. Best coach ever!

LOL. Exactly. What do you do when your hero gives away 21 points in what would have been a blowout? Blame Garrett. We were only UP due to our passing O. Punting the ball after 3 runs would have also given them the ball. You cant play to not lose in the 3rd quarter. Drama queens. Vertical? Werent they both passes in the flat?

And what had their offense done with the ball so far? Their offense was doing nothing. Let them start from their own 10 and try to put up 24 points in 2 quarters.

Also, we were passing on first down... At least run it twice and then pass. One of the interceptions came on the FIRST PLAY of the damn series.

I know it was mostly Romo's fault but Garrett is also to blame. We blamed Wade for the 1-7 record. I also agree Garrett revived our team last year... He is the Head Coach so he obviously shares the blame.

How many games are we going to have to blow before the sacred cow that is Garrett gets called to task?

Last time I checked the head coach was responsible for every aspect of the team. Like Mac Brown said after a UT loss, "I am responsible for everything that goes on with this team from our coaching staff to the last walk on player, its all on me if you want to blame somebody".

I guess the sacred cow that is Garrett is exempt from this philosophy.

Don't confuse them with facts. Leave them in their fantasy land:laugh2:

You have to have downs syndrome if you compare our amateur coaches with them

This is why Roy Williams should still be here. He could get blamed for everything and there wouldn't be all this arguing over who's fault it is.

You mean the same team that blew a 21-0 lead last week? Those guys?

Your argument's weak.

Yeah, your right. Stafford and Megatron suck. They havent done anything in the 2nd half of games this year. Did you by chance catch their last game vs Minny?

No one is to blame for Romo throwing picks but Romo. There's no excuse that flies even a little.

If Romo doesnt throw a pick you have no issue with the call. Its the same call every team in the league is making today.

the team that blew an epic lead last week, that team, right?

No the team that won 3 SB and also went undefeated except for SB. With really no good runninng gm to speak of. Talk about selective memory again:rolleyes:

I'll tell you what - nothing.

They got 3 points from a flukey shovel pass and that was the extent of it.

They weren't in this game until Garrett and Romo let them in.

I feel for Rob Ryan and his defense.

They continue to work their tails off only for the offense to give the game away.
