***Rip Garrett Thread***

And what were they doing offensively up until that point?

I'll tell you what - nothing.

They got 3 points from a flukey shovel pass and that was the extent of it.

They weren't in this game until Garrett and Romo let them in.

I feel for Rob Ryan and his defense.

They continue to work their tails off only for the offense to give the game away.
Rob could punch the OC if he wasn't the head coach.

How many games are we going to have to blow before the sacred cow that is Garrett gets called to task?

Last time I checked the head coach was responsible for every aspect of the team. Like Mac Brown said after a UT loss, "I am responsible for everything that goes on with this team from our coaching staff to the last walk on player, its all on me if you want to blame somebody".

I guess the sacred cow that is Garrett is exempt from this philosophy.

Obviously you just want to blame Garrett for stuff. Yeah, we've blown a TON of games under him.

I count 2. Both on picks by the QB. You cant coach stupid.

So how'd they score?

The guys that have WON MULTIPLE SUPER BOWLS?
You said that only Jason would go into shotgun witha 20 plus point lead.

Guess what? Other teams do it as well. If teams that have won the Super Bowl do it, then maybe its not a an inherently bad strategy after all?

Your argument is flawed. Nice resort to insults though.

Not true.

Garrett seems to have perfected it.

:lmao:

They scored on interceptions.

Did you watch the game?

Are you saying that those INTs for TDs are equivalent to punting and having a team start a drive from their own side of the field?

Wade sure got the blame, double standard here?

Yea, I blame the coach when the team has the biggest collaspe in franchise history. If your QB is throwing picks all over the field you dont keep calling shotgun plays.

This is like football 101 here.

Garrett and Romo handed the 14 points and all the momentum in the game.

Lucky for you that you apparently missed it.

How on the face of the earth do you have 47 passes and 27 runs and you were winning by 24 IN THE SECOND HALF.

We built a 27-3 lead by passing 28 times and running it 14 times. We had to pass seven times (plus a sack) on the final drive. So, in between, we passed 12 times and ran it 10, which is fairly balanced. Unfortunately, three of those 12 were intercepted, and two were run back for touchdowns.

The one play call that could be questioned most, however, was throwing on the first play with a 30-27 lead and 4:22 remaining -- and not even a play-action pass, either. That's when you want to use the clock and pick up first downs, and we decide to air it out? Dumb.

He was 7-4. Why? Why are you bolding the games Romo handed to the other team by himself? Thats 2 in how many games this year for Romo?

And how many did we blow when he was out?

We should practice tackling more with our offensive players.

We need a Romo int coverage.

You call it dumb.. Others call it bad execution.

Garrett called those pass plays with a 24 point lead - Garrett.

Are you actually going to mention Belichick and Garrett in the same post?

:laugh2:

:laugh2: Yes, when it comes to someone saying you don't call Shotgun plays with 20+ lead. :lmao:

Is that good enough now, or we need few more laughing emoticons to make my point. Try to stick with the theme, not argue in 10 different directions.

Would it help or hurt his argument if the Pats never had the ball on offense up 20 last week?

They went up 21 and Buffalo scored on the following drive to cut it to 14.
