***Rip on Romo Thread***

I can't believe there are Romo defenders still, it's sickening.

Well, I just look at it like dating a prostitute. Sometimes she gives you pleasure, sometimes the other guy. But you know how she is, so you don't get too mad at her.

It's all the D's fault they made throw two pick sixes up 27-3 and told Romo to throw his third pick that won the game for the Lions. AFTER they had stopp the Lions and gave ROmo a chance to run out the clock and win the game

What would it take to get Carson Palmer from Cincinnati ??

No way. He has proven to be done. Hasn't been the same since his injuries.

I never thought I could get MORE pissed than I was after the Jets game. I could not sleep that night. I am so jacked up right now that I feel like I wanna fight.

at 2-2 this team is exactly where it should be:
jet's- shoulda won but lost
49'ers- shoulda lost but won
Commander's-shoulda lost but won
lion's -shoulda won but lost

Normally I would agree with you. But this team has two losses this season that are historic to the franchise...and the mistakes that created them fall onto #9.

This team has shown the past decade that they are mental weaklings. I can't wait for another collapse after probably blowing another game to NE in 2 weeks. Guess I gotta temper my expectations and realize this is not the same franchise it used to be....

he got all of that media pressure off his back with the last 2 games and now he has brought the full court pressure of the media right back square on his shoulders

These threads are funny, especially when you step back and analyze the game and plays objectively. His second Int, if Romo never throws that pass you will never see a slant thrown, DB made a good play on the ball. No fault on Romo on that. On the Witten pass, if he was able to get it a little further out you have Witten for a huge gain as he was behind the secondary.

No, these If and Buts are funny. Call a spade a Spade here. If my aunt had some B... she would be my uncle too. Its playing situational football, knowing when to take risk and when not to.

That Bobby Carpenter Int was the killer, regardless of how Houston play was, still a Int. Witten Int was just blah, par for the course for Romo. When he is bad, he is just terrible. Somehow he can't limit it to one mistake.

And we as fans have to realize, what everyone else who is not a fan of Cowboys saying is true. He is a choker. No longer is coaching an excuse. You just can't trust him. He can be awesome and dreaful in a span of a game itself, as seen by today's game.

Bottom line, he is cannot be trusted. You cannot win consistently or win Playoffs with a QB like that. No amount of Mea Culpas are going to do it.

I have been a supporter, but I have had enough my romo jersey actually went in the trash can. sorry but cant take that anymore. rant off

Throw Away The Season By Benching Romo? Stupid...Maybe Next Year But We Have To Roll With Romo For Now

I'm going to do about a 100 push ups and work out like a mofo.

Then crawl into bed, listen to sad music and not watch T.V for about a week.

Romo's a millionaire, with a smoking hot wife, and a good golf swing.

He'll shrug his shoulders and move on with his life. Plain and simple.

And there is nothing wrong with that, it gets lost that Romo is a good guy. I just don't think he is the guy to get it done here.

There is someone down in Texas I wouldn't mind you beating the mess out of right now.

What happened when Romo was out last year?

End of the day, Romo is a good QB, but he's not a great QB.

He's no Staubach or Aikman.

Also, I don't think we're going to win the Super Bowl with him at the helm. And I hate thinking this. I can't see him putting 3-4 games together against top defenses, in pressure situations, and not messing up.

Unfortunately, there's not much we can do about it. I think we'll probably end up around 8-8, and we'll likely go next season with Romo as the starting QB. The best Garrett can do and try to put Romo in "good" situations and "protect" him when he can.

That's the way it is, imo.

Exactly how did we throw away the season last year without Romo?

True. And Cowboys, seriously have to look for his replacement. He had his chances and excuses. No more. Now if he goes on to Win SB this year, then he remains. Barring that or good Playoff run at the very least, his rope is pretty much at the end.

He shouldn't be cut or traded though. He should be kept. Not need to be foolish. If a new QB wins the job over him, then so be it. No more automatically handing him the job.
