***Rip on Romo Thread***

You're not as good at smug when something hurts are you? Figured as much.
Heh.

Don't be so bothered that I knew someone was going to point to that Patriots game. Really, I didn't know it was going to be you, I just knew it was going to be someone.

Respect is earned. If I have any it is for my knowledge of the game. I do not care who likes my opinions or not. I don't take myself all that seriously at all. Ya'll are great at it though. I get called out by at least one person every time this team loses.

Out of curiousity have you ever been called out in a thread? Wondering if anyone thinks your opinions matter enough to do that?

Lol, Respect is earned dang it! Big bad hostile, making people earn respect on random internet message boards about football games, one user at a a time, life changing.

You do have many non-fans on our boards here, utrunner being just one.

They can't wait to call you out when things go south for the team. It seems they are more interested in getting under your skin after a loss than the loss itself.

Says everything about those posters though and trust me, people see it alllll of the time.

It gets old, but you guys have to take it. Your way to nice. I would have the stirrers gone in about 2 days. Probably why I wasn't asked to be a moderator again?

yeah.....has to be that

:(
Thanks T. If the Mods here were anything like our detractors say we are this place would be a lot more pleasant. But we continue to allow the drone as long as it is within the Guidelines. I get so tired of it.

Feel crushed. I hope it really hurts you and the rest who want to be miserable. That is what you want, so I hope you get it.

I'm magnanimous like that.

If you are not bothered by a loss you are not a fan, it has been said, let it be so.

I'll take that as a no. I won't be the first.

Never heard of group therapy have you?

That's more or less what a sports forum is after a loss, specifically one like this.

But rather than you realizing that, you go out of your way to put people in to little groups and label them because *gasp* they're bothered their favorite team lost, in a humiliating way.

I doubt most therapists provide comfort to their groups by telling them:

"It's okay that you're a drug addict and have lost 10 of your teeth. There is some other drugged out bum down the street somewhere doing just as well as you are"

No disrespect to anyone.....But DAMN, that was funny. Lord knows I need something to make me laugh. :laugh2:

I guess this is what a true forum meltdown looks like:eek:

Kind of mimics a tragic player's performance, don't you think?

Ah, it's just the 24 hour rule. Only 19 hours to go, then it's back to Kum-ba-ya and smores here again.

Does Arizona have some weird state law requiring you to reply? Seems like if you really were tired of it you would just not reply, they got ignore buttons bud, if your just oh so tired.

I think there is a law on board stalking.

You need a restraining order.

I see what you are saying. But the fact remains that Romo threw at least two costly ints. Brady's performance does not take that away.

You are correct...my point was that I doubt the NE forums last week were ablaze with calls to bench or trade Brady the way they are here. I understand that winning SB's gets you the benefit of the doubt, but the bottom line is that all great QB's have bad games (except maybe Aaron Rodgers j/k).

For some reason our fanbase seems schizophrenic. Romo was a hero these past two weeks and today he's a piece of trash that should no longer be starting. I understand the pain of such a bad loss, believe me, I feel like I got kicked in the jewels, but I still love the Cowboys and Romo as my QB...He's still the same guy that won two hard fought games with broken ribs and a punctured lung.

I am extremely upset with Romo. Well, upset with everyone on the team. But Romo just makes me give up on trying to understand this team. To just say, we need to move on or draft another QB lacks any logic. I wish it was that simple...it’s not. That road will be tougher than this one.

We are like that couple that is “stuck” with each other. You have Romo. You are “stuck” with him. The good and the horribly bad. Expecting joy will never happen for you. Your life will always be tortured with him.

That's exactly what I was thinking this afternoon. We're stuck. This is our fate. He is like an unfaithful spouse who promises to change but always has a wandering eye and can never be fully trusted.

His meltdown today came without any warning. I sat in shock as I watched him melt like an ice cream cone at a July 4th picnic.

This is so ridiculous, and it's pretty obvious you're taking your anger at the game and the team out on the rest of us. Who the hell would want to feel like this? I'm so disgusted I don't even know who or what I should be angry at, I'm just in a daze of complete and total misery. I don't even care about blaming Romo, or Garrett, or anyone else...I just want to stop feeling like this. In 20 years as a Cowboys fan I've felt like this only two or three times, and it sucks.

It's ok to let people see you question what happened and why, I promise.

Guess why?

You'd have 100 threads crying about Romo.

Guess why?

Instead people are trying to vent in this thread and you're saying we should pull up our pants and act like men because the Patriots lost, too.

So basically no matter how we lose, it's okay because somewhere the past 50-60 years, another team has lost the same way.

It's just like those people who point to a 0-2 start and say...

Nevermind.
Well, you got that part right. The question is, can people do it?

You are better than this. I understand what you are saying, but saying this w/o any solution or option isn't fair. It's just dumping to dump.

BTW: The Bears would KILL to have Romo

I think our best solution is to draft a QB in the first or 2nd round. That way he doesn't have to start, he can learn the system and develop. Maybe...just maybe...that gets Romo to stop making these boneheaded moves. That...and I would do whatever it takes to get Romo to stop throwing to Witten on crucial drives. He always throws to him and teams know he's going there.

I think the organization needs to stop relying on the guy because he's many things...but reliable isn't one of them.

You have to think about the future at some point. It's better to start planning now than to try and wing it later.
