***Rip on Romo Thread***

What string was Jimmy Johnson?

Jimmy was a great coach. I assume that nobody thinks Garrett is too great after these nice little collapses. He also provides no value as a former QB to someone far more elite at the position.

Romo could benefit from some solid coaching like the guys in NO, GB, NE all have.

I also think this is a great post. I'm not participating in any of the bloodletting but I understand it.

I think it works like this:

Some get mad at Romo

some get mad at Jerry

Some get mad at Garrett

Some get mad at posters who get mad at Romo, Garrett, Jerry, etc.. etc..

.....and some just want to be right just to thump their chests.

Typing in big letters doesn't change the fact that you are wrong. Carry on.
who else was responsible?

make me :lmao2: with your response please.

We need a real QB.

Rodgers has 5 td's and it's only in the 3rd.

And he doesn't turn the ball over.

Yes & Garrett had nothing at all to do with it.

True, point taken.

Also would any of you guys denied the holding penalty the Lions had that would've put them out of field goal range at the end?

Oh please.

According to Hostile 31 other teams lose like this all the times.

He's in complete denial about the trend that follows this team.
Buffalo
Philly
Houston
Patriots
Vikings.

And that's just the past two weeks.

31 other teams DO lose like this. New England last week. Ditto for the Vikings. Chalk up one for the Eagles today. So go ahead and pat yourself on the back for glaring ignorance.

I'm the farthest thing from a homer on this board. I can guarantee you that there isn't a poster on this board that was more pissed off than me after this game. But, to deny reality is beyond stupid.

These losses happen. Unfortunately, they seem to happen with Romo more often than any of us like. But, you didn't quote a single thing in Hos' post that was untrue. But, thanks anyway for playing.

Gameday has put Romo and Vic in their own special "Collapse" category, and have a poll going--who is number one in the "Collapse" category, Romo or Vic. Romo is ahead.

Oh, hey, I forgot, he is the future of the team.

Exactly.. Single instances.

Those single instances happen to us a lot more than anyone else.

The Cowboys are the kings of finding off the wall ways to lose.

It's what the Cowboys and Romo are known for.

I don't want to defend Red but this is too easy. Everyone thought Jimmy Johnson was in over his head after his first year. Everyone thought the great coaching at GB was stupid for getting rid of Favre. Everyone thought Bellichic sucked after Cleveland.

Weird thing for me is that this is the first loss in years where I'm not mad. I have no idea why. I think maybe I'm still in shock....or maybe i thought we had it wrapped up and all the adrenaline was gone. I just hate that we have to wait two weeks to try and move on.

At least we didn't give him a new 100 million dollar contract.

For some reason, it doesn't really hurt me when the 31 other teams lose like this. I can't quite put my finger on it. Maybe it's because I only care about the Cowboys :D

you're a clown. clowns are supposed to make me :lmao2: ....please tell me why romo isn't solely responsible for this loss.
Already did. If you aren't bright enough to figure it out junior, there's no reason for me to waste anymore time with you.

Well the good news is Eagles lost and Giants are down 20-10 in the 4th.

No matter how you want to slice it, two of the franchise's most epic regular season choke jobs have come with Romo as the QB and Garrett as the head coach/OC, and they've come within three weeks of each other. That makes it impossible not to lay the blame at their feet. It is what it is.

Wow, even when presented with evidence that these types of games regularly happen to you somehow spin it into something horribly grotesque.

And wrong, horribly horribly wrong.
