***Rip on Romo Thread***

Well the good news is Eagles lost and Giants are down 20-10 in the 4th.

Just think how we'd be feeling had we not choked one away today. It would have been great going into the bye week.

for those out there who dont want Romo..who can we bring in? a rookie will take too long to develop..what are our options?

Tony "Timebomb" Romo. Don't let him control things too much or he'll blow up and make a disaster!

I know and I've thought about that, too. Unfortunately now we've got to hope for others to fail just so we can keep pace a bit.

Man our whole season looked different staring down at the Lions from 27-3 going into the bye....

Weird thing for me is that this is the first loss in years where I'm not mad. I have no idea why. I think maybe I'm still in shock....or maybe i thought we had it wrapped up and all the adrenaline was gone. I just hate that we have to wait two weeks to try and move on.

Same here. Im not mad at all.

I had a buddy call me while we were up 24-3 and he said "enjoy the win" and I fired back "its not over yet.. this is the Cowboys we're talking about".

It's just what i've come to learn to do as a fan of this Cowboys era.

We are chokers. Im used to it at this point.

At the end of the day Romo has to have some post season success this year.

If not the Cowboys will be shopping for QB this offseason.

The Cowboys should be 4-0 right now. Because of Romo we're 2-2.

Well they lost to us, so we still have a little ammo left in our pockets.

Why would they say anything? We beat them last week w/ nobody on offense.

If I were a Commander fan, I wouldn't say JACK to the Cowboys. :lmao2:

For some reason, it doesn't really hurt me when the 31 other teams lose like this. I can't quite put my finger on it. Maybe it's because I only care about the Cowboys :D
Well let's face it we have no right to expect to different than any NFL team.

That's the true "realist" viewpoint.

Agreed, popp. Those other teams' collapses mean nothing to me either. The Cowboys one's absolutely kill me. I just refuse to encourage straight ignorance when I'm directly quoted.

I call stupid stupid. I don't care who posts it.

Wow, even when presented with evidence that these types of games regularly happen to you somehow spin it into something horribly grotesque.

And wrong, horribly horribly wrong.

How am I horribly horribly wrong?

The Cowboys find off the wall ways to lose games more than anyone.

Ask any joe schmoe fan who watches the NFL what team has the strangest collapses.

He would say the Cowboys and he would be right. Horribly horribly right.

Romo will be here next year and barring a miracle find will be the starter, but I don't think Jerry will enter another season where the strategy depends so much on him.

Honestly, I think they could be competitive this year with a conservative approach where they use high percentage passes/more running to shorten them same and try to win off defense. This defense has impressed me and the people criticizing them should realize how much momentum a team gains with turnovers. The running game would obviously be the biggest hindrance to that approach right now.

I don't agree that the game has changed so much that you *have* to rely on your passer for 350-400 yards. Sure, the rules are more protective, but it's not like there are flags on every play or guys don't get hit out there. Every time someone says this game has changed it then supposedly changes in another direction. Within a few years another team will win it all like the Ravens did back in the day and suddenly the game will have changed again.

Point taken. :)

Green Bay throwing the ball all over the place with a big lead and Rogers throw a pick. This is the new NFL.

I took a look see on ES and found exactly what I was expecting. Somebody that can post over there should ask TR1 where he was all last week. For some unknown :D reason, he was absent all week. Now he's back. I guess it's just a coincidence.

no team in the nfl has lost in the heart breaking fashion we have for so many years in a row.

The team doesn't really have options.

The only thing you can do is hope Romo will figure it out and learn how to protect the ball.

If he does, Dallas will be fine and able to compete.

If he doesn't, nothing will change.

Lots of stats that look pretty but not a whole lot of results.

I also think there's a lot of season left and we have two brand new coaches(Garrett as head). If you know my past I'm no homer, but it's still early and the way the rest of the division is playing we are right in it.

I do think questions about Romo and our future chances of winning a SB with him are legitimate but I'll worry about that in the offseason and during the draft. Nothing we can do right now.
