***Rip on Romo Thread***

Glad you can admit things arent entirely set in stone then...

I've said all through this thread Dallas is very good but they are chokers and find off the wall ways to lose.

It was hard to because Romo presented so much hope.

If the guy could ever be consistent than Dallas would be great.

But he's not so we're not.

Consistent? Romo is nothing if not consistent. Right now he is on the 1-2-1 consistency pattern.

What's frustrating is that this wasn't a problem the entire game.

1st half, Romo looked very good. He was making smart decisions, guys were getting open.

2nd half... either Romo got wild, Garrett's playcalling change and/or the defense made adjustments that the offense couldn't/didn't pick up.

Adjustments you just said it. Once again we are back to coaches who can't make adjustments.

I think we need to trick Romo somehow into making him think it's always the 2nd quarter. That way, he will continue playing great and avoid his second-half epic fail routine.

The team doesn't really have options.

The only thing you can do is hope Romo will figure it out and learn how to protect the ball.

If he does, Dallas will be fine and able to compete.

If he doesn't, nothing will change.

Lots of stats that look pretty but not a whole lot of results.

What about taking the approach Parcells took in 2006?

I actually think the rest of the team has made major strides..no more dumb penalties and mistakes..defense is doing a significantly better job in pressure situations..Romo is really the only 1 screwing things ..I think Garrett has done a hell of a job making everybody else so much tougher

What is embarrassing about this thread is that folks honestly think there is someone better out there on the street or on our bench than Romo.

Read this thread in its entirety. Its laughable the comments being made about Romo.

If I am a Commander fan, I am all over this thread posting it all over ES.COM. Look at all of the ammo given to the other team, just reading our boards. Im mean for crap sake, you sound like OTHER TEAMS fans, not Dallas fans.

I understand the upsettedness and you have the right, but for crying out loud, keep it in perspective.

You guys don't think some other team would fall all over themselves to get Romo?

Fans just seem to forget about the

Testeverde days
Quincy Carter days
Ryan Leaf
Clint Stoerner
Anthony Wright
Chad Hutchinson Days
Drew Bledsoe

You guys all act like we have starting QB's just waiting in line here in Dallas.

Live or Die w/ Romo....THAT is where this club is.

I'll ride w/ Tony

BTW: Why can't we run the ball more often? Really? Please run the ball more......pretty please?

Whoever wins the Luck sweepstakes wont be trading unless its the Rams.

Heck if I were the Rams I might even draft him.

...I'm just soooo tied of this. He first broke my heart in 2006 and it was really then that I began to wonder if he had what it took for us to get back to the glory days. I really have lost great respect for JJ for letting this team be brought to the level of satisfaction that some Cowboys fans have towards our current team.

We have become happy with average perfomance with great potential. We have a owner that has not done a good job as the GM of the franchise and there is little hope for change there. We have an owner that has brought, hook, line & sinker, the "potential" of Romo and , up to this point, has refused to admit that maybe Romo is not the answer at QB. He has re-signed Tony to an extension last year or so that will lock him in with the Cowboys for at least 5 more years. I'd be honest with you; this fact has me depressed because it means that we will have more years of games like this.

Tony will continue to put up great stats but until the owner or coaching staff put some reins on him, he will continue to make rookie like decisions. For goodness sake, this man is a 6 yr veteran and a 5 year starter and he makes some of the stupidest mistakes over and over. Some of his throws can not be explained and he does not seem to learn from his mistakes.

He would be a much better QB for this team if he kept his throws under 25 per game. When he throws the ball alot, it's not good for the Cowboys because he will always take an uneccessary risk with the ball mutliple times per game. If he was a rookie or a 2nd year player, i could except his play much easier. But for him to be a veteran QB, I fully convinced that this is what it will be with him.

It's kinda depressing because I'll have to live with this for the next few years without excerting too much faith because this kinda stuff hurts and I'm sick of it and I don't like how I feel after having my hopes dashed over and over and over. I'd rather have a steady conservative 200 yd per game QB who throws a TD or two every game than a guy who normally throws for 300+ yards, a couple of TD and a couple of interceptions per game who also makes 5-7 decisions per year that cost my teams a game.

I'm exhausted... :bang2:

He is not locked in for the next 5 years relax. I believe his contract is good thru 2013.

AMEN BROTHER:bow:

And what a glorious day that will be. I guarantee we'll win more than one wildcard game once those two are out of here.

Garrett has done a great job as the HC. It's too bad he manages the game for us on offense though :(

Do you think starting McGee would force Garrett to call the game different?

Id like your list of quality replaceable QB's since we should can Romo.

Any in the draft? Think we get a shot at Luck?

You have the answers....can we see them, please?

I think starting Mcgee would surely get us a shot at Luck. :D You want to tank the season cuz we are 2-2?

Really?
