He has no one to blame but himself.....thinking he could trust his season with Wentz. Their refusal to invest in the QB position is odd. The face of team and leader Terry McLurin, a third-year WR. What does that tell ya?

My fear is Snyder may fire Rivera and zero in on Quinn, considering how invested in the D.

I'd hope Quinn would have the good sense to decline it. That organization is worse than the cowboys by a longshot

They made severe blunders in the draft trying to get a franchise QB, Haskins, Griffin, Cousins, come to mind. And this off season they failed to get a top notch QB by FA or trade. Settled for Wince....even Heinicke is better than him. Rivera is on a short leash and would not be shocked if he gets canned like a tuna after the season. No way DQ would consider them as a option. Much better out there in the near future.

Does anyone honestly think Rivera and/or Del Rio for that matter are BAD coaches?

Case in point that if you don’t have the QB you are sunk, and good ones are nearly impossible to find.

Its almost as if finding a QB is hard. Almost as if you gotta pay them when you have a serviceable one.

Cousins was a home run in the 4th round. Problem is they treated him like garbage

I still laugh that they called all 31 teams and ended up with Wentz as the best option.

They swung and missed on both Garrapolo and Wilson. They were forced to settle on Wentz. Rivera has tried to spin it after the fact how Wentz is there guy and blah blah blah....

Outside of the one year he got to the Super Bowl, Rivera has been a Jason Garrett tier coach

Also…..we need to keep one thing in mind as we go through the exercise of figuring Quinn is gone….

This is his second and likely last (based on history) shot at being a HC. He will not waste that on going to that Washington disaster only to be fired in 2/3 years then back to DC forever.

Jerry will pay him well to keep this going with Parsons, and I think he will want to wait for the right situation.

I just fear that’s Seattle, and Carroll just may quit realizing he has no QB anytime soon.

While I'm sure Rivera has input on the roster, he still isn't the GM. Rivera is a proven head coach, and lets not forget all the BS he has had to work through since he got to Washington.

Washington is not a good destination for free agents right now, you have owner treating his team like a giant frat party, name changes from political pressures, a battle with cancer, and his first season was the <censored> year which came with its own challenges.

His only real chance of success was to have some great drafts, but those haven't really worked out all too well, although there have been a couple nice pieces added, and a few with high potential still like Chase Young.

Better do anything to keep Quinn.
I mean anything.
Including making him HC.

Exactly.......no idea why he thought he could something out of Wentz that other coaches haven't.
