I think Jason Garrett should suffer multiple punches to the throat the next tine he says that he is drafting the RKGs. It's obvious either many of them are not RKGs or are so stupid that they can't see someone getting ready to drag them down down into the primordial soup. This **** is simply un ******* believable.

For the 1,000th time... RKG means a player loves football. Loves his team mates. Loves to play the game. Wants to be great and works at it.

It has nothing to do with if they make a dumb off the field decisions, although the guys who love the game typically are better off the field.

I don't disagree. You can't tell who will lose their temper in public and who won't during the draft. It is just a guess.

However, Garrett talks about their love of football and how important the game is to them. Not if they'll get into trouble or not.

It is the fans that took the wrong definition and ran with it... and then have a global scale nuclear melt-down when a player gets into trouble with the law.

This is true of any sample of 20-34 young men. NFL players actually have a lower incidence of just about every category of crime available when compared to the general population.

As far as the RKG stuff goes, I'm giving up on that one. A significant minority simply has no interest in what the staff has actually said on the topic and are intent on using their own definition in order to find the team wanting when it comes to off the field stuff. There's no way to debate that sort of crazy.

It is frustrating, though, to lose games for multiple players for things that are stupid and ought to be avoidable. Between Irving, Wilson, and Carroll this season, it's pretty bad.

Just because one has the RKG philosophy doesn't mean that there won't be a few bad apples. I'm sure Belichick has a RKG type philosophy and he had a multiple time murderer on his team. And guys like Corey Dillon who are not exactly saints.

I'm willing to give guys second chances and I'm also willing to believe somebody is innocent until proven guilty. And I don't know why I would care if a player uses a machine to write out his autographs.

Unfortunately, most of our problem players on the team have been on defense for whatever reason.

This isn't one player. This is one of several. We have guys who can't pass a drug test. We have guys who are getting arrested. We have guys who could be going to prison.

It is unrealistic to think every NFL player will stay out of trouble. But it should be the exception for a player to get in trouble not the rule. Randle was obviously a turd. Gregory, Irvin, Lawrence, McClain, and others can't pass a drug test. That's a significant part of a 53 man roster.
