Ragland couldn't cover in college. I don't know why people think he would help us other than looking at draft rankings that got him wrong in the first place as evidenced on him being passed on repeatedly.

He is a two down LBer that I had zero interest in. I don't understand the allure, other than he has two functional knees.

So it's the FO's fault you don't see their vision? I understand because of Romo their should be a sense of urgency to win now and drafting for future years doesn't jive with that script but you also have to understand the post Romo years don't have to hurt so bad if we plan accordingly. We should always be forward thinking when it comes to the roster. Not doing that, sunk the ship last year.

No, I thought it was a luxury pick for a team that needs a lot of help this year, and one less year Romo and Witten have without that help. I did not think it was the best available player; I thought a healthy Jack (regardless of whether he makes to 2nd contract) was better. Reasonable minds may disagree, but this was a Jerry "splash" pick.

That is what makes JSmith so dynamic....he never leaves the field and can go side to side and North-South in coverage.....Ro was a liablity in coverage last year, often a step or two out of place and it caused serious damage....he hurt Lee and Hitchens being late and knocked BJones off of a couple crossing routes...

Hitchens has been his best as the MIKE imo and will do fine...McClain's impact was over-rated because of a few big hits and a couple INTs

No one had him less than a top ten pick. That still counts when it takes most first round picks a full season before getting some NFL feel to their play, anyway.
