It seems that there are 4 road games that always get lots of Cowboys fans to show up in the opposing team's stadium:

  • Cowboys @ Commanders (many Cowboys fans in the Washington, D.C. area)
  • Cowboys @ Cardinals
  • Cowboys @ 49ers (I've never understood why there are so many Cowboys fans in California)
  • Cowboys @ Panthers

Honorary mention:

  • Cowboys @ Dolphins (lots of Cowboys fans in Florida)
  • Cowboys @ Texans (Texas team and local geography)

I don't understand why there are so many Cowboys fans in Florida and California. Those states are quite geographically far from Texas.

Everytime they go to Atlanta the fans are out in force. Like 40-50% of the stadium. If you remember two years ago at sf the stadium had a ton of fans

Last years game at Cincy was a pretty good turnout too, not 50/50 but seemed pretty close. I sat on the away side and if you were in Bengal gear you were in the minority.

Ton of them in Chicago, too. Went to the SNF game there 4 years ago. Saw a lot of Cowboy jerseys? Loud cheers every time the Boys scored.

Hispanics. Dallas dominates the Hispanic market as far as the NFL goes. California, Florida, Arizona and Texas have HUGE Hispanic markets. In fact, it's the reason why Houston has as many Cowboys fans as Texans fans ( I live in Houston and can attest to this). Any place with a large percentage of Hispanic residents/immigrants, Dallas has a foothold on that location's fandom

Wait until week 4 at San Diego. I will not be surprised if there are more Cowboy fans at that game them Charger fans. I remember the 2005 game and the stadium was loud when Dallas made a play.

All of them. The Cowboys national fans are by far the best in professional sports in terms of supporting their team. I've been to games in Dallas, and I can tell you how baffled I was by the lack of local passion for the Cowboys as compared to the pride of their national fanbase.

I agree. If you could somehow replace all of the in-state Cowboys fans who go to AT&T Stadium with out-of-state Cowboys fans from elsewhere (California, NY, Florida, etc.,) I think AT&T Stadium would suddenly become one of the loudest venues in the NFL.

Yep this is exactly right. Also Kansas City will have a big turnout.

I can vouch for the Cardinals home games. When I went to see the Cowboys play there a few years ago, half the stadium was filled with Cowboys fans...so much so that near the end of the game when it was clear that the Cowboys would win, the stadium was rocking with the DALLAS......COWBOYS chant. It was awesome.

California because LA does not have a team, Cowboys history, and a high Mexican population...

BTW - This thread reminds me of something I saw on the NFL Network's morning show last month. The three guys they have, Mark Kriegel, Steve Wyche and Eric Davis are idiots.

The topic was how relevant the Cowboys were. I swear here are some of the remarks...

They aren't relevant anymore...
They haven't been for awhile...
They don't take over stadiums like the Steelers or Packers...

Forget the fact that...

They still are the most popular team in North America (latest ESPN & Harris polls)
They have led the league in attendance (both home & away) for the last three years
They had five of the top seven rated national TV games the last two years
And they are opening the season AGAIN on Sunday night football.

Granted I'd trade it all for more Super Bowl wins but to get a check on a national television show and say these things means these guys are either clueless or haters...or both.

Cowboy fans travel well. The only place I can think of that they don't represent(like other cities) is Minnesota. A lot of Dallas fans in Cali because:
a. Mexican population
b. Major cities have numerous transplants
c. We are America's team :)
