"In terms of maximizing talent, Rob Ryan out-coached Jason Garrett 2 straight years. Not even close."

I can't disagree with that statement. Garrett is a pretty lousy coach. That doesn't make Ryan a good one. Garrett should have been axed before Ryan. Heck, Jerry should have cleaned house and started over for next year. Firing Ryan is not a bad thing even though Garrett deserves it more.

kinda like firing someone via cellphone

or better yet, passing on your GM duties to your head coach because you don't have the cojones to do it yourself.. now THAT'S class

Wishing death on someone because you don't approve of the way they run a football team.

Some people.

So you agree that it isn't about Rob and more about Jerry with you?

You agree that it is all about defending jerry with you? Of course you do.

I think that was more to do with his HC abilities, but you are right. I've always thought he was a great DC (which Houston is enjoying), but a bad head coach.

Will the Walls, Thurman, Downs, Fellows, Bates and Clinkscale days ever return to Dallas? Where are the turnovers?

Not even close? I don't know about that ... Ryan wasn't that damn good these last two years. What's the excuse in 2011? Because of the lockout? The 49ers had a whole new coaching staff and Vic Fangio completely turned around that defense in one damn season.

Nope sure don't. I don't apologize for being a fan of the Cowboys. And go ahead and try and find quotes of me thinking Jerry is great, I'll wait.

Yeah, and in some point I guess thats what happening with Garrett too. Hes not a bad OC, but its average at HC, at best...

The lack of turnovers has been the most stubborn problem with this franchise the last decade.

Hiring Lovie Smith would be the first step in fixing that problem in my opinion. Those Bears defenses just knew to create turnovers consistently and that's exactly what this Dallas defense needs to do more of.

The newest rage is to call anyone who has even a glimmer of optimism a "Jerry fan". It's reactionary and based in fiction, but it's their go-to move.

You could say this about anybody else and it would meet with the same disdain.

You have Jerry on the brain, I'm afraid.

At least someone here does. You guys go ahead and talk about how many more pole dancers he is bringing next season. That will be awesome.

That has yet to be seen. So far he is average. But he is only 2.5 years in. Give it time and I will gladly discuss either way.

We're not even talking about that?

My god, man. It's like you are in your own universe.

An gotcha. Thanks for the heads up. I guess supporting the Cowboys is a bad thing in these parts.

I didn't think Ryan was great but agree with Rosenthal that he outcoached Garrett. I'm not sure why he got a free pass.

Didn't Garrett also torpedo Wade after his offense failed under him?The guy is Judas.
