Didn't like his hire in the first place but he was definitely used as a scapegoat by Jerry and company to take pressure off his pet project. Hope he has to throw down his headphones a few times come Sunday night.

Yeah I didn't either. He's a mediocre coordinator.

A few more:

Ramon Antonio Vargas ‏@RVargasAdvocate 11m
On being let go by DAL prior to '13, Rob Ryan said he understood change was needed. Also said JJ doesn't always get best advice from people.'

This is kind of interesting. Seems to suggest (what I've always suspected) that his getting let go was a Jerry thing, doesn't it? Unless it was Garrett giving the advice, but then you'd think he'd have just directed the comment at Jason outright.

He is the spawn of Buddy Ryan, the original "bounty hunter"...not just on Troy Aikman, but our K too........think it's a coincidence he ended up with the Saints....just a thought...:D [he jabs us, we jab back]
Now he sounds just like his father and his quips....they can have him....

Or it could be the Johnny voices in JJs head. I don't think JJ was to comfortable around Rob. He's a scary looking dude.

The questions were stupid honestly. They deserved stupid answers.

I agree. I also like people with bravado, but also have some integrity about yourself. Don't just come out of your mouth with anything just to be talking. Have some dignity about what you do. That's why I like guys like RSherman vs. guys like Ryan. If you spotted Ryan the loy and the t he still wouldn't know what to do with it.

I agree here, which means that Garrett really isn't in control like many thought he was. It also affirms that the Monte Kiffin was a Jerry thing too, but we already knew that from Larry Lacewell comments before.

I think Rob was directing his comments to Stephen more than anyone else on the "bad advice".

Two things you can count on: if its on the internet and if Rob said it. Bank it.

I didn't gather there were any jabs. Also nothing we didn't already know.

If you want to see the jabs I have listed them below.

Rob Ryan on the Cowboys: "They've had a change in (defensive) coordinator, like they do every year." - JAB!!

Rob Ryan on returning to Dallas: "I'm sure I'll be cheered heavily there." -JAB!!

Rob Ryan on the Dallas Cowboys: "There are some great people there." Mentioned Tony Romo, Dez Bryant and Sean Lee.
Rob Ryan on Tony Romo: "He's brought back more teams than anybody. He's a great quarterback. We know that."

Rob Ryan, why has DeMarco Murray been so successful this year? Ryan: "They're probably giving him the ball." - JAB!!

Rob Ryan: "I think if DeMarco Murray stays healthy and you give him the ball, he's going to lead the league in rushing."

Oh, I think most of us understand that Jerry calls the ultimate shots in Dallas. Something like a post-season coordinator change he might leave to the HC if the HC really thought it was necessary. But that doesn't mean that he also wouldn't force a change if he (Jerry) really wanted one. Really no different from filling the open OC spot before hiring Wade, or expecting his HCs to work with existing coaching contracts if he didn't want to pay to terminate them early. I can't imagine that being news to anybody; its the way things are going to work in Dallas under Jones.

That said, it's interesting to speculate how much of that DC change was Jerry and how much a joint decision (I don't think any of us think it was all Garrett, do we?). I've always suspected it was a Jerry move. And this seems to bear that out. The jab at Jerry's advice I'd take as a Lacewell thing, barring a better reason to think it was Stephen, but Stephen certainly qualifies at a possible target for that, too.

I like a coach with a chip on his shoulder. The guy was a scapegoat, like many others in Dallas.

I like his attitude but the problem is he is only attitude and very little substance
You add in missing meetings etc and I had no problem with him being let go
