If you want to see the jabs I have listed them below.

Rob Ryan on the Cowboys: "They've had a change in (defensive) coordinator, like they do every year." - JAB!!

Rob Ryan on returning to Dallas: "I'm sure I'll be cheered heavily there." -JAB!!

Rob Ryan on the Dallas Cowboys: "There are some great people there." Mentioned Tony Romo, Dez Bryant and Sean Lee.
Rob Ryan on Tony Romo: "He's brought back more teams than anybody. He's a great quarterback. We know that."

Rob Ryan, why has DeMarco Murray been so successful this year? Ryan: "They're probably giving him the ball." - JAB!!

Rob Ryan: "I think if DeMarco Murray stays healthy and you give him the ball, he's going to lead the league in rushing."

The only quote I really consider close to a "jab" is his remark about changing d coordinators. And if that's all he's got id submit to him after watching his defenses fold at critical times (which btw, they still do) and a failure of experiment with monte, then so be it. I also take the "cheered heavily" bit as sarcasm, he was here for two years. It isn't like he had enough impact to warrant cheers or boos.

Oh no he didn't. Those are fighting words.
And spare me the "he's right" posts.
I don't give a mickey-flip if he is right. He didn't have to start throwing haymakers before pre-game ... good Lawd!!!!:omg:

He's Son of Buddy. Wouldn't expect anything else from him.

I honestly thing it was a jab at jerry for changing DC's....that being said, I think Jerry is changing DC's to protect garrett.

Man, It's nice to hear how well respected Romo is among NFL coaches/coordinators. I know fans have gotten caught up in a lot of what the media says (negatively) about Romo over the years(not specifically talking about Dallas fans), but it's obvious the majority of coaches think he's a top tier QB. He may not be this year due to obvious reasons, but his individual track record speaks for itself. If Dallas didn't resign him, there would've easily been 20+ teams lining up to give him a huge contract.

As a whole I think everything he said was true. I like his comments about how we change coordinators every year, and his little comment on Murray. "They're probably giving him the ball." You can tell he wasn't/isn't too fond of Garret/Jones, which I really can't blame the guy for. He was a scape goat by Garret, I would've loved to see him here for another year or 2 and see what he could put together. I'm willing to bet we'd be better defensively if he was still here, but that's just my opinion.

Whatever. Dude wasn't the problem in Dallas. Anyone with a brain gets that. He's a major someone didn't dig and said "make him go away" and they did.

that and the comments about always changing the coordinators. that is a direct swipe at garrett and probably jerry too.

sucks he's so mad. i bet he works harder this week than he's had all season just to spite us.

Yeah his defense might only give up 30 points.

Your boy needs to earn his money this week.

Didn't like his hire in the first place but he was definitely used as a scapegoat by Jerry and company to take pressure off his pet project. Hope he has to throw down his headphones a few times come Sunday night.

disagree with that ,many thought Rob's defense philosophy and not just Jerry thought Rob's philosophy was unsound.
He has worked well in NO but not so much here.

I know I'm in the minority but I miss Rob. Not even really for football reasons, I just think he's hilarious.

Thanks to Ryan we invested heavily on Claiborne and Carr at CB. The Saints have already retooled the safety position with a first round draft pick and the best available free agent. Now the Corners aren't good enough for his scheme. It wouldn't surprise me if they overpay for that position next year.

Was he a scapegoat or just not very good? A lot of the same issues keep popping up in NO and if they continue I'm confident he'll be on his way out there as well.

IMO, the number 1 issue was that he's an arse personally and was difficult to work with.

The second issue is that his defense is about out-scheming the other team with the game plan instead of focusing on coaching the players on fundamentals. Even if he gets a defense to play well one year, it's not necessarily going to get better the next year due to not focusing on fundamentals.

Marinelli's is at the opposite end of the spectrum with his defense. He focuses almost totally on fundamentals and uses a simple scheme and simple game plan. If he were to leave the new D-Coordinator would inherit a defense with good fundamentals; whereas, when Rob Ryan leaves a team, they have to start from scratch developing the defense in terms of fundamentals.

I like a coach with a chip on his shoulder. The guy was a scapegoat, like many others in Dallas.

I don't know. I never thought he was anything special. Sure, he could come up with some really complex schemes, but his defenses have never really been that good, except for maybe last year.

I just remember after his first year here. He was at the Senior Bowl and a reporter asked him who he was looking at, and he answered "all I'm lookin at is DB's." Well we spent $50 million on Carr and a 1st and 2nd on Mo. Now I don't know who the driving force was behind that, but it seemed like it was exactly what Rob wanted to have, and they gave it to him.

He'll be making bitter comments toward the Saints this next offseason, after he gets fired for the 4th time.
