This is a 2nd year player on the roster that has interesting measureables. He is slightly bigger and slightly quicker than Akiem Hicks who many here liked in the 2012 draft.

Here is a comparison of their measureables:

Calloway, Robert
Height: 6045
Weight: 325
40 Yrd Dash: 5.17
20 Yrd Dash: 2.89
10 Yrd Dash: 1.78
225 Lb. Bench Reps: 25
Vertical Jump: 31
Broad Jump: 09'02"
20 Yrd Shuttle: 4.84
3-Cone Drill: 7.72

Akiem Hicks
Height: 6045
Weight: 318
40 Yrd Dash: 5.23
20 Yrd Dash:
10 Yrd Dash:
225 Lb. Bench Reps: 26
Vertical Jump: 31 1/2
Broad Jump: 09'00"
20 Yrd Shuttle: 4.86
3-Cone Drill: 7.75

I know he did well with the Lions in the pre-season with the Lions before he got cut, but I haven't heard much regarding him since.

Can I ask one huge favor - if you get the time?

Would you mind putting your player measurables in one thread vs. their peer group?

For example, for Coale you did it vs other slot receivers, for Matt Johnson vs. other Safeties, etc.

I think that was some of the best stuff during the Draft weekend. It really gave an appreciation to the athletic ability of the players vs. their peer group. It was interesting that the Cone times were consistently in the top grouping.

Thanks.

Sure. I'll try to put that together for each draft pick.

For now, I have this info:

It's going to be tough for him to make the squad. He'd probably have to beat out Geathers who they clearly like and have signed to an xtension.

Sweet stuff here man. I also have to say I enjoyed a lot of your other draft information/input as well. You were one of the only posters who did not shoot me down when I first brought up some of small school guys.

I have high hopes for Calloway. Detroit has some very good DL depth and it is a well coached unit. I would have preferred Sammie Lee Hill but I like Calloway's potential. Calloway may have to sit another year on PS, still raw after DII competition at Saginaw Valley State.

But he offers the same thing that Coleman and Spears do, run stopping and occupying multiple OL. Except he is bigger, younger and cheaper. Both guys should be looking over their shoulders.

Thanks for the input. I'm glad that you guys like the info.

I'm working the data for all of the Cowboys 1st and 2nd year players. They appear to have stashed away some really good athletes.

I'm confused about where the numbers are coming from, at least for the 40-yard dash. They don't seem to match up consistently with the players' combine or pro day results.

The numbers are from the combine or pro days. If they did both, I use the better numbers. Can you give me specifics on what you think is incorrect?

I think it's just that different sources have reported slightly different numbers. It looks like you pulled the times from PFW (or someone else who used the same numbers they did), but their numbers don't correspond exactly with the ones listed by NFL Draft Scout and various other sites. It was difficult for me to tell whether you were applying a consistent standard in terms of which time to include, but it looks like it's mostly the different websites' fault. As long as the data all came from the same website, it's a fair enough comparison.
