In 2015 Cowboys had Carr with 4 years experience and Church with 5 years experience at the safety spots. Result? 17th ranked defense.

And how did Carr and Church get to have that experience? By playing as rookies or 2nd year guys.

Can't assume that just because one of your safeties is "experienced" he's automatically better than what you have or that he will/can be a defensive backfield safety.

Golden played in 125 games and had 84 tackles, 7 passes defended and 2 ints. Some "experience".

But I get it, every NFL vet that is released automatically is somebody the Cowboys have to get:laugh:
I still think we should’ve kept Carr and played him at safety instead of cornerback. Remember when he would fill in at safety he seems to be much more effective with everything in front of him.

Couldn't afford him, no matter what the position, anyway...
