Possibly, but he may surprise us....I doubt it, but maybe.Ugh....keeps getting worse.

So far, I'm not crazy about the suit.
I don't even really count the ones between Keaton and Bale. Keaton probably the best anyone could do, under those cartoonish conditions. Hell, even Nicholson wasn't a particularly good Joker. I think about the only one in any of those movies who was really good was DeVito as Penguin.I believe that is from the final episode of the tv series Gotham. I don't think they already have a suit for this movie.
I wasn't a fan of Michael Keaton as Batman. I am a Keaton fan, but I don't think he brought much to the role. Plus I just didn't like Tim Burton's take on the character.
Val Kilmer really didn't do much and that is probably because that movie was terrible. Same with Clooney. Maybe they could have been better, but I doubt it.
Bale was excellent and was in good movies.
Affleck was good. I was hesitant when he was chosen, but he played the dual role of Wayne/Batman well.
I have serious doubts about Pattinson.
not a twilight fan but not fair to type cast him to those roles. lets see what he can do.https://variety.com/2019/film/news/...matt-reeves-bruce-wayne-dc-comics-1203125473/
If you’re unfamiliar with his work outside of Twilight, he’s actually a really good actor. But this is not the type of role he usually takes.
If Ledger’s joker taught me anything though, it’s “wait and see”.

But as a couple of us said earlier, he needs to bulk up for the role.I actually think he's going to kill it. Good casting.
I'd be far more worried about the directing and script.

He needs to be old enough to have learned a lot about the world, but young enough to have endurance and durability, like an NFL linebacker...so around 27 - 30.don't know what younger actor I would've choosen....I would have prefered an older actor like Josh Brolin or John Hamm from Mad Men.
I think Batman should be "older" anyway....he's always seemed older to me....tough,gritty,prefers to work alone.
I think Brolin would've made an excellent Batman.
so more Lee Roy Jordan than LVE.He needs to be old enough to have learned a lot about the world, but young enough to have endurance and durability, like an NFL linebacker...so around 27 - 30.
Gotta have that LT mean streak in him too.so more Lee Roy Jordan than LVE.
I was hoping they would use something like The Court of Owls as the storyline....or Arkham Asylum....some of the darkest story-lines come out of Arkham.<----- As a Batman fan, I am not thrilled about it. Just doesn't seem like a good fit to me. Like a lot of you have said, time will tell, and I most certainly could be wrong. At this point though it is almost like they threw darts at a dartboard with actors faces pinned to it. "Oh, stuck on Pattinson! Guess he will do!"
I can tell you I am much more excited about Joaquin Phoenix as the Joker. He has super huge shoes to fill but I get the feeling he can live up to it. See, now that is how you fill a role.
My regret was Keaton did not have the opportunity of playing the duel role outside of Burton's twisted gothic version. Keaton ended up being much better in my eyes than I had first feared after finding out he had landed the part.I believe that is from the final episode of the tv series Gotham. I don't think they already have a suit for this movie.

I did the same exact thing. My brain twisted this around to "Pat Robertson to be the next Batman." I was like, "WHAT????????"
YES!!!!!!
