Robert Sands, Jock Sanders and Noel Devine

Lol, unbelievable, only you would have the ego to think that anytime someone invokes the name JacQuizz Rodgers, that it somehow is a reflection on you good or bad.
Riiiiiiight.

I brought up JaQuizz Rodgers because he's similiar in stature to Noel Devine. That's it.
:wink2:

Why not compare him to Kendall Hunter then? Why not Derrick Locke? Oh, because no one mentions Hunter or Locke even though explosive wise they are much more like Devine.

Hmmm, let's see, Devine's freshman season he split carries behind Steve Slaton, so I'm guessing that may have impacted his numbers. Rodgers has also had 250+ carries in all three of his seasons played. Devine never cracked 241 carries in any of his four seasons at WV.
Yes, durability is a major downgrade of Quizz.

And why is Rodgers a better receiver? Because he was force fed the ball more?

Devine did more with the ball when he caught it, as witnessed by his 7.35 yp/rec (6.9 yp/rec for Rodgers). You might argue that isn't much of a difference and that would be exactly my point.
57 more career receptions in a full season fewer games. 365 more yards in a full season fewer games. More TDs receiving this year than Devine's entire 4 year career. Yeah, that'd about cover it.

"He averages more yards per carry." Rodgers averaged 4.6 to Devine's 4.4 this season. How about we take a look at what they have averaged throughout their careers?

Devine: 5.9 ypc on 721 carries.
Rodgers: 4.9 ypc on 788 carries.

I'll take that full yard difference with Devine.
I'll take the guy whose production in ypc hasn't dropped every single season and produces more yards and more scores. In 4 years Devine has 31 total scores. If Quizz stays in school next year he only needs 11 scores to double Devine's total, and that doesn't count 2 passes for TDs. If I did, he would only need 9. To double the production in the most important stat of all.

Right, because I like Devine over Rodgers it means I'm not being objective. I like Rodgers, he's a good college running back, but I'll take the more explosive Devine over an upright running, average speed/quickness, 5'7" 190 lb power back. Not to mention, Devine has experience returning kicks in college.
Devine has never scored on a college return though. So the experience isn't all that more impressive.

I like Devine just fine, but the "all day, every day" comment was just silly.

Yes, facts only muddle up your analysis.

Lol, and your point is what? If given those same opportunities, Devine's numbers are better than Rodgers. Of course, objectivity has never been your strength and neither has intellectual honesty as we'll see in your next word vomit below...

I'll take the guy whose production in ypc hasn't dropped every single season and produces more yards and more scores.

Lame. Of course only someone as dense as you would fault Noel Devine for having his YPC drop from 8.6, 6.3, 6.1 to 4.4.

In 4 years Devine has 31 total scores. If Quizz stays in school next year he only needs 11 scores to double Devine's total, and that doesn't count 2 passes for TDs. If I did, he would only need 9. To double the production in the most important stat of all.

Outstanding! You've proven JacQuizz Rodgers is a great college running back! Perhaps next you can bring up Trevor Cobb's college totals, or how about Travis Prentice too.

BTW, despite having 57 more receptions, gotta love how Rodgers racked up just three more receiving TDs.

Devine has never scored on a college return though. So the experience isn't all that more impressive.

:laugh2:

Lol, guys like you can't help but run head first into hypocrisy.

That's funny, experience wasn't that big a deal when you were laughably touting JacQuizz Rodgers as a replacement for Dez Bryant as our returner, despite the blatant fact Rodgers never so much as returned a kick or punt in college.

I like Devine just fine, but the "all day, every day" comment was just silly.

No, I'll say making up nonsense like claiming Bryan McCann and Dexter McCluster never returned kicks in college is silly. Then after being proven wrong you backtrack...that's comical. Finally, after being exposed you then try to downplay the entire point you proudly propped up to begin with...that's hilarious.

See, you're busy arguing college numbers and effectively, who is the more productive college back. The entire premise of my original post his who will be better in the pros: Devine > JacQuizz

I knew the commentary about Hunter and Locke would be ignored because it flat out showed him to be full of crap in why he made the comparison.

Devine if a great football player. I do not care to say any more because I am not trying to bash him.

Utter silliness.

Hostile vs Realtick is almost as good as Theo vs Childsplay.

I give Hostile's futile attempt at feeding his overblown ego 5 stars.

"French Fries!":)

Realtick's responses are "twice as good" as Hostile's. Is "twice as good" possible?

I love this coming from a guy who is pimping Charlie Weis as a good candidate to be the HC here.

Better Weis than Garrett is all I'm saying.

The only "pimping" that is going on is you for your boy Garrett. You do get 5 stars for pimping Garrett.

Which is more than enough to show how silly you are being.

Whatever man. The only comment I am laughing at is about Devine being better "all day, every day." If you cannot admit that this is extremely debatable then you don't know what you are talking about at all. Like I also said it is amusing that this is about guys of similar stature according to you, but you ignore Hunter and Locke who are not only in the same stature category, but actually are speed guys like Devine, while Quizz is not.

Great comparison. [/sarcasm]

As with most things in life, reading comprehension is vital. Here's what I actually said, "when healthy, I'd take Devine over a guy like Jacquizz Rodgers all day, every day."

Lol, that's my personal take. You don't agree with it, so be it. You believe Rodgers is a better college RB, OK, but that's never been my point. I'm looking at the two as NFL prospects. Devine > Rodgers

I don't need to qualify my opinions by saying "...this is very debatable..." because some poster (you) gets emotionally bent out of shape when someone questions some pet football player whom you've comically taken ownership of.

See, I'll talk about JacQuizz Rodgers anytime I want. And trust me, when I do, you're not on the brain.

Again, only an internet commando with your ego feels prompted to stride into a conversation like "yup, that's my guy, what do want to say about him," whenever JacQuizz's name is uttered. Lol, please.

Like I also said it is amusing that this is about guys of similar stature according to you, but you ignore Hunter and Locke who are not only in the same stature category, but actually are speed guys like Devine, while Quizz is not.

Your hurt feelings are speaking for you once again.

"Wha,wha, well why didn't you compare Kendall Hunter? Wha, why didn't you bring up Locke? Why did you have to choose JacQuizz?"

Listen, get a hold of yourself.

I'll compare whatever players I want to; you're just going to have to learn to live with that.

Garrett is a better OC than Weis?

Don't want to overload your brain. Seems like you have all you can handle with Realtick exposing you and your ridiculous ego.

"Your so vain, you probably think every post is about you ..."

If this thread is actually about the prospects then I like Devine better. He has better top speed and I think hes pretty strong too. I dont think a toe injury is indicative of anything.

But like I said in the other thread, I think hes a bigger name and might get pushed up a round or two too early for us

That is what this thread is about.

I think Devine shredded my alma mater Pitt the last two years. I wouldn't mind seeing him in a Cowboy uniform.

You happy about who they selected as the new HC in Pitt?

Talked to some pitt fans that were not exactly thrilled but at the same time some realize that they needed a disciplinarian type coach as many said the inmates were starting to run the asylum.
