My friend was at TC this week and said the defense looked TERRIBLE. Hopefully, its just TC and they look that way because real football with pads is just starting for them.

Its the first week of August, so I'm not putting any stock into how they look right now. It seems the defense always comes along a little slower than the offense in TC anyways.

I've been reading the exact opposite. Oh, the defense always comes along faster than offense also.

2014 when we were supposed to be horrible we played very well. that was Rod right?

Still not a good defense that year..

We dominated TOP and were scoring almost 30 a game.

The defense was still a pile a garbage but benefited statistically from our offense. I'm hoping for the same this year.

You can fairly judge an offense on a team that has a bad defense.

You can NOT fairly judge a defense on a team that has a bad offense.

A healthy Romo and Dez, along with Elliott, goes a long way for the defense.

Actually it's usually the defense that comes along first because they're typically dealing with less of a schematic learning curve.

How they look in camp doesn't matter anyway. Some players are rounding into shape, gets are playing at camp speed. Young players trying to make the roster are playing for their football lives.

I wasn't really correcting anything, just commenting on how camp reports vary based on the drill and who's reporting it. It's camp. Everybody's excited at the beginning of the season, and everybody looks good until that first regular-season loss.

I was just relaying what my friend said. She also went to TC more to meet players she has a crush on. Haha.
