Rod Smith to switch to FB

This is brilliant. We'll have 2 fullbacks named Smith. They can share a number and will only cost us 1 roster spot. We just can't run any 2 FB sets or they'll be on to us.

Draft a running back 4th and have him run behind someone new to his position. Either go with someone that can play it properly or don't use the position. Why get clever with this now? Especially when you are extra terrified of a Chris Gronkowski event happening again.

They just want a guy for short yardage situations. The FB isn't needed in a ZBS and none of their current RBs need a FB.

Because they would like to find a short yardage blocker and both Smith's are good STs players who are so far down the depth chart at their other position they had no shot to make the team. Odds are still that they won't make the team except maybe the practice squad.

I'm not sure why. Zeke and Morris are plenty capable of those 3rd and 2s

I would think both players know what an audible is, Rod is a rb so he should already be up on that. But the whole point in looking at them at FB is because they think they might need a short yardage blocker. Doesn't mean they will end up using one though.

Both are probably still eligible since neither has played in many games.
