Rod Smith

Anyone else think we have too many good running backs on the roster? xD

Zeke is amazing, Morris is real good, McFadden is real good ... is it costing us anything having unreal depth in this department?

Position coach, Gary Brown, thinks Smith is going to surprise us.
He's already better than his brother... lol (ducks)

Morris will be good. McFadden is good as well. Smith is a reliable player. I’m feeling optimistic. We don’t have arguably the best player On the team, but at least the position has some decent smart vets to fill in

I really want to see #20 getting meaningful play,,,if he's consistently bounced back like hitting a brick wall, kinda like what I've grown accustomed to when seeing #46,,, I'll cool my support,,, but not until theno_O
he's gonna impress those currently beating the #46 war drum, most notably in YAC:thumbup:

silver lining... but I'm very excited to see what Rod Smith can do. Hopefully he takes away carries from Morris very early. Believe he'll be number two when Zeke comes back
Rod is a different type of runner. I think that he could be a 5 yard battering ram in this offense. Morris is the type of runner that the OL was designed to match with his cutback though holes.

He actually probably is.

I think Rod gets Alfred's two series per game to start out with, maybe more if we're ahead late. And gradually it ramps up as he delivers over the course of six weeks to the point where he has more yards than Morris does over that span.

And then he's the primary backup next year.

I know I am not the only one that is not enamored with Morris. He can run if there is an open lane, but he doesn't seem to me to be able to fight through tackles and he doesn't have much "juke" in him IMO
