Aaron Rodgers is great and all but as good as he is on the field Mike McCarthy is just as good on the sidelines against us.

He meticulously destroys Marinelli almost every single time.

Marinelli is probably great at coaching the fundamentals of football to players but Marinelli and his scheme are just not up to NFL standards.

For us to have any chance in the playoffs we are going to have to avoid Atlanta & GB at all costs because not only do they have the horses but they have the coaches as well and our bland style of football is too easy to prepare for.

You can get away playing bend don't break football against your typical NFL QB as long as you stop the run but these elite QB's will break you.

Dallas needs to get rid of Marinelli right now.. Don't do it at the end of the year. We've seen how this plays out. IT's time to make a change RIGHT NOW.

Try Eberflus for the rest of the year instead of wasting this time with Marinelli.

Red should have told Rod before the game that if we get a too many men on the field penalty you can just walk off and pack your stuff. Game, set, match.

Right!! If they are not subbing, you should not be either. And least of all DL and LBs. They move slower when getting off the field. I understand the need to give guys a rest. You just cant fall for the same tricks over and over again. Whats worse is JG saved the call on our defense. But our special teams got called for 12 men??? I really dont understand that one.

If Marinelli stays we need to work on our blitz game.

We have to play more press man that gets heat on the QB and forces the ball out quick.

Our DLine is good. That is now a strength on this team and we still can't play good defense because:

1. We are worried about Rodgers running

2. When we do that we give him all day.

We have to start going at QB's more. Especially the good ones. We can't stop them playing the style we play and we'd be better off using pressure.

It doesn't matter who the QB is, if your defense cannot stop the other team from scoring a TD with a minute left, the team is simply not good enough.

Absolutely agree on Marinelli. This upcoming off season needs to be a clean sweep of the defensive coaching staff and needs an honest evaluation of the players on the roster.

We do well against the mediocre to a little above mediocre QB's as long as we contain their run game.

Last year we had the #1 run defense and this year we are getting torched.

I can't remember the last time our run defense was this bad. I don't think I've ever seen a Cowboys defense this poor against the run.

Playoffs? Are you talking about playoffs?

Still optimistic that we can win the division even though Wentz is becoming the player I told all of you he would be in the Draft Zone.

We get Philly twice.

I have been saying this for years. We have to blitz more and be aggressive, and at times you have to take chances. I hate the bend but don't break defense.

Now is the time to make a coaching change if they are going to... I'd love the move personally. See what Eberflus can do and communicate accountability to the team. The bye week gives the team time to adjust and restore confidence going forward.

Marinelli would in essence be the scapegoat as there a lot more problems than just him-- but a move like this is sometimes neccessary in order to be able to take corrective action and create some hope and positive sentiment again on the sidelines and in the stands.

All that said-- Garrett and JJ are masters at keeping the status quo. A bold move like this would never enter their braintrust. They will circle the wagons and keep pushing out the same drivel about "finish the fight" "process" "stacking good days" etc... ad nauseum

Can anyone come up with a championship team which had a bend don't break defense that doesn't force turnovers?

Colts

The 2 Superbowl defenses last year were about like the Cowboys defense last year.

We shall see....they started fast last year and then faded like a cheap suit.

We still have the better qb and offense...we just have to see some serious improvement on the defensive side.
