if they beat atl and detroit loses to the eagles (both highly possible), then their season is not over and he will most likely play vs us.

Did you guys know that Rodgers might not play when Dallas faces Green Bay? Or couldn't you care less?

If he doesn't play, I'd chalk up a win for the Cowboys. The Packers are horrendous without Rodgers.

Can we drop the could or couldn't care less nonsense now?

While it has been enjoyable to watch, .. it is ridiculous, .. especially in this thread.

I agree with KJJ in the last post, no need to have yet another 400+ yd passer against us this season. LOL

I could care less what you consider nonsense. Well, I could, but not by much. :)

While we're on the topic, why don't we discuss some other words/phrases that people commonly misuse:
  • A whole 'nother [A whole other]
  • For all intensive purposes [For all intents and purposes]
  • I should of [I should have/should've]
  • All of the sudden [All of a sudden]
And my all-time favorite:
  • Irregardless [regardless] - which to my dismay has actually evolved into an official word of the language according to some sources!

BUT in all seriousness, to keep this somewhat on topic so it doesn't get deleted... any word yet if Rogers will play this week?

In the spirit of this derailed thread (but keeping it on topic), it goes without saying that if Rodgers is injured he won't play against the Cowboys. Of course, if it goes without saying, I didn't need to say it, and this post is irrelevant and unnecessary. :D

Oh, and the latest I've heard on Rodgers is that he'll practice but not play this week.

No point in rodgers playing this year their season is over. They would have to win their division to get in and the lions are 2 games ahead of them. Not happening.

It's not looking good for GB but their season isn't over yet. Every season is precious you never look at a season as being over until it's officially over. Things weren't looking real good for GB in 2010 but they got in as a wildcard and ended up getting hot. Detroit isn't that great a team the Cowboys should have beaten them and they have Philly and Baltimore coming up. They could very easily drop those games and if the Packers win their next 2 they'll be a half game ahead of Detroit with 2 games left.

The Packers were 5-2 with Rodgers before his injury they're a different team with him. If they can get him back soon they could turn it around with a struggling Falcons team coming up and the Cowboys whose defense he would easily shred. A team can go a long way if they get hot this time of year but I don't see anyone getting past Seattle in Seattle.

Ya agree every season is big but the lions will win at least two more games. No shot at a wild card In That division though. Green bay also would have to win out. They have the bears and stealers too. They would like lose at least one of those two. But if rodgers cant go this week or he does go. Their whole season hinges on this game vs the falcons. They lose they are done. I wouldnt risk his career at that point.

You're assuming the Lions will win at least 2 more games but you never know this is the NFL and anything can happen this time of year. If the Lions were to stumble to a 1-3 finish which is possible with Philly, Baltimore and the Giants coming up GB could take the division if they win out depending of course on what Chicago does. The Bears are having their issues with Culter out. Having a QB like Rodgers you never want to give up because he has such an impact on a game. If you can sneak into the playoffs regardless of your record anything can happen.

Baltimore was looking shaky last season going 1-4 in Dec but got hot in the playoffs. It was looking bad for the Giants in 2011 when they were 7-7 but they got hot in Dec. Sundays game is critical for GB and if there's any way Rodgers can play on Sunday vs Atlanta I would play him that would be a great opportunity for GB to get back on track. If they win on Sunday and Detroit losses to Philly that could start turning the tide for them.

Looks like he's slowly working his way back into practice and will possibly be ready to start next week in Dallas. Joy!

My guess is he doesn't play this week. Watching on ESPN and his shoulder hasn't completely healed. I don't think he plays again. Detroit and Atlanta winning will pretty much end his season. Why rush him back in with that Oline; a fracture that hasn't healed and no playoff spot to play for. It makes no sense. Just my opinion.

Usually if a QB is missing id' be one of those "rather play with them with QB".
Not against the best QB in the league[yes i'm calling him the best ]
Hell no. I hope he takes a long hibernation haha, do not want to play this guy

Goddell wanted him to sit vs the Eagles and play against Dallas so that it would increase the chances that the 12/29 game would have meaning

Let's say Rodgers plays against the Cowboys and that's his first game back he could be rusty and be off his game.

I'm afraid that even if that's the case, any "rust" would last for only a quarter or so and he'd be back to his usual elite form by the 2nd quarter.

If we lose to the Bears and the eagles beat the Lions, it won't matter because the eagles will win the division.

That's why Monday's game is so HUGE
