The whole momentum vs resting (with a bye) is an argument as old as time.

In recent years, we've seen both play out pretty evenly.

Patriots, Denver, and Seahawks all had byes and won it the Superbowl.

Packers, Giants, and Ravens all came in as wildcard teams that had to play wildcard weekend.

Depending on which side of that you fall on, you are going gravitate to the "Momentum means more" vs "Resting our players and getting healthy" arguments.

With all of our injured players, I would think that the current circumstances would favor the "Rest" side of that argument.

Yep, in 2009 the Saints won the Super Bowl after losing their last 3 regular season games
