I've seen lots of missed calls. I've never seen a personal foul get called on the wrong team. We are all on the same page with that, right? The ref saw the tripping attempt, called it and gave the penalty to the wrong team.

Remember that Damone Clark facemask against Miami? Imagine if he did it and the refs marked the penalty against Miami, killing the drive. The national uproar would be over the top. The fact that this is a footnote to that game just shows the national bias against Dallas.
I agree it was a stupid call for sure. I mean the NFL demoted them for a good reason. They missed some egregious calls especially down the stretch.

You can’t do it.

Even if the lions get it. Cowboys had 23 seconds, 2 timeouts and a kicker with a booming leg who hasn’t missed a FG yet.

The game wasn’t over even if the lions did get the 2 points.
Exactly

Never happen.

Peter King has a good take on 2 pt conversion today. Blames ref and Lions, because they sent 3 lineman to the ref trying to trick Cowboys and they tricked the ref
Undisputed and even Richard Sherman had the same take
They were trying to be sneaky, which he said...and I quote..."Is impossible" because the ref is gonna tell the defense anyway

He won't. Why? Because doing that is going to erode what little credibility the NFL has with regards to it's officiating and the NFL can't afford the PR hit.

At this rate, I want that bogus PI call in the Super Bowl versus the Steelers in the 1970s reviewed and game replayed.
Really that's the only one you can remember how about all the weird ones like the holy roller and some of the other bounces what was the other one called and those two losses to the Pittsburgh Steelers if there would have been instant replay we would have won both those games...

And I know the sarcasm is there but how about the reality of this if Roger Goodell does this and sets a precedent he's gonna get eight teams send them video from games just this year that bad calls or non calls affected their games and they're gonna have to overturn all them games then what he is not gonna open up that can of worms...

Even in our game that hendershot tripping called that ghost tripping call affected the outcome of the game it gave the lions a shot they would have never had they not had a benefit of a bad call..

How about the PI in the Saints playoff game? Is ever there was call to change the game. That’s probably the worst non-call in the history of the sport.

Whatever the Lions did in terms of declaring eligibility (I assume they declared the correct guy, 68), the refs told the Cowboys that 70 was eligible, not 68, which affected how they played defense. The only proper way to rectify it would be to replay the try, not to grant the conversion.

Not that the commissioner would ever step in on something like this: the whole article is just silliness.

There is a big dispute about who reported but if #70 didn't report what the heck was he doing running over to the ref? Also it gets announced and why didnt the lions stop the play and say that's not right.

If that idiot commissioner wants to get involved then he needs to go back to the clipping penalty that was called on Hendershot. The idiot commissioner needs to overturn that penalty call and place it on Detroit's Hutchinson. That would be the fairest and most equal way to fix bad two penalty calls that actually changed the balance of the game.

This is #1 on the list of why this will never happen. The first time a commish does this, the lawsuits will fly and he'll find himself having to do it every 2-3 weeks. Never going to happen.

I'm waiting for Hendershot's fine for his blatant tripping personal foul.
