Say what you want, but Goodell is a tremendous commissioner. He works for the owners, yet isn't afraid to mix it up with them when needed.
I hate a lot of the results, but his job is to grown the league financially, which he's done in spades.
Even if he's paid $100 million per year, that's peanuts compared to the $24 billion the league generates annually now.
Owners and players get paid incredibly well now, but the heart is the league is a faded memory. Not even close to what it was in the 90s and early 2000s.
