Ok, Colin Cowherd has his QB bracket going on.

Roger beat Eli 70% - 30% to advance.

Now Roger is matched up with Peyton and Roger is trailing like 73% - 27%.

3 out of 10 people say E-Lie is better than Roger? :lmao2: :bang2: The only logical explanation is that 30% of voter's are either Cowboy haters or stupid. Or, I guess too young to know anything about Roger Staubach. Seriously, who in their right mind would rate E-Lie better than Staubach?

Now as far as Peyton. For me, having seen both play I would take Roger over Peyton. The post season decides it, and its Roger hands down. Yea, I'm a biased Cowboy fan, and yea, Peyton has his place in NFL history, but, Peyton ain't no Roger Staubach.

That Manning Kool-Aid is strong . . . . . . . . .

Roger hands down.

Peyton is great from September to December. His playoff track record is crap.

Peyton Manning would have been run out of Dallas by now. Roger in a landslide.

just about no way to compare QBs from two totally different eras. Just no way.

Regular season probably Peyton. Playoffs has to be Roger.

Staubach. He was a better athlete, more mobile. You could do more with Roger then you could with Payton. He was every bit as intelligent and every bit the game time coach on the field. As has been mentioned, the game is much easier today then it was back then. If you put Roger in an offense today, there is no telling how many yards he could throw for.

I, personally, would take Roger Staubach over anybody.

I have the utmost respect for Peyton and what he's accomplished, but this.

Can't imagine how you pick Peyton over Roger. This just tells you the average age of a football fan more than anything

A little off topic (sorta), but I wonder those of you who pick Roger over Peyton because it's what matters in the post season, not the regular season, use this same logic when comparing Romo to Eli?.

Fortunately, you don't need ignorant fan stupidity like "clutch" or QB wins to make a case for Roger as an all-time great... Staubach's 4 passing titles combined with his ability to pass, scramble and run are more than enough to put Roger in the discussion with anyone. But Manning is equally fantastic... the man has won 4 MVPs and it could have easily been 5. I call it a draw.

Hey Sarge,

I can't speak for everybody but really all I am looking at is how each players skills translate into today's game. The league is moving more towards a mobile throwing QB. That's Roger to a T in my opinion.

Payton is a great, great QB but his inability to move and threaten the defense is, IMO, a drawback for him in this comparison. Each of the two were great QBs, very accurate, excellent passers. Each has/had complete command of their respective offenses. Each was clutch in games. The differentiator, IMO, was Roger's ability to move around and create. To take a broken play and make something out of it.

This!! Staubach did it in regular season and post-season and he translates into the NFL today. Add his smarts and leadership and to me its him.

As a Fan of the Dallas Cowboys I would too. Its a no brainer.

Roger never seems to get the credit he deserves in the discussions of the all time great QB's.
