One of the biggest supporters of Tony Romo, legend Roger Staubach, isn't necessarily on his side at the moment.
The Hall of Fame Dallas Cowboys QB is usually vehement about the value of Romo to the franchise, but when it comes to the current QB "controversy" swirling around the club Staubach thinks they should stick with the hot hand.
And if anyone knows how Romo feels in this situation, it's Staubach.
In 1971, he shared duties with Craig Morton during games until coach Tom Landry decided Staubach was the best man for the job. The Cowboys won Super Bowl VI that season. Staubach then suffered injury the following season and was not immediately put back into the starting role as Morton was the hot hand at the time.
And so, the legend had to wait.
Which is what he's more or less advising Romo to do.
