Defense attorney Harvey Steinberg said McClain would head to Cowboys training camp in Oxnard, Calif., within hours of the trial.
"My attitude is I think I ran into the only person in the entire state of Alabama that would convict Rolando McClain based on this evidence," said Steinberg. "Unfortunately, it happened to be the judge."

Yeah he is a defense attorney. I'm hoping this can all get resolved and he can move on with his life. I think the main issue is so many are blaming everyone else and not McClain, personal responsiblity starts with the individal but instead it his the cops fault ir it the judges fault everyone but McClain who by the way has been arrested three times in Decatur since 2011.

If things are going to change for the better for McClain I would advise it starts with himself.

So, true...recovery first starts with a person admitting wrong and changing.

ask anyone in jail and they will tell you they are innocent as well but until the person is willing to make drastic changes and admit their own faults they will continue to repeat the same problems over and over.

Come on now...You know what the cops and justice system is like in Alabama. If you are a person of color, you are guilty until you prove
yourself innocent. He has hardly no chance to get a fair trial in that state. I believe it's only 1 of 3 state that still have chain gangs and over
90% of people in prison are people of color. Bias to the extreme, dude.

There are a lot of kids who attend Bama and guess what they are not getting arrested. Come man yourself, it is up to McClain to change his way it is not an accident he is getting busted it is his own self destructive behavior and it is not going to change by blaming everyone else. This race car stuff is a lame excuse there are many black kids who go to Bama and guess what they are not being arrested. Cut loose the friends who are dragging you down and change how you behave that is the key

To the credit of Ronaldo McClain, he as admitted doing wrong. Now, he has to prove it and walk the path...this is where fans watch, and don't throw darts.

He should have hired a better legal team to represent him in Alabama...

I agree. I'm pulling for him, he is a talented young man and would hate to see it thrown away

In Alabama, its closer to 75% are people of color.

And chain gangs do not still exist except: at present, the only place in the USA they still exist is Maricopa County, Arizona, where prisoners can volunteer to join one to earn credit towards a high school diploma.

Maybe mistaken I'd, but hard to imagine they didn't know who they had since he's been arrested 3 times in That city this year.

I believe it was 3 times in 3 years. 2010-2012. I'm sure the cops knew who he was though.
