Rolando McClain getting noticed

Whatever contract we give him, let's just hope we are protected so that we don't get Ortoned again.

Beat to the punch....just saw this and was going to post it. He has All Pro potential if he can keep his head on straight. Pulling for the guy.
Marinelli seems to see something in him. Nelli been around a long time. If he sees something in RoMc that he's excited about ....and gets him to play to his potential???? that excites me!!.

Are you seriously mentioning Ernie Simms in the same post with me .... McLovin? Do you know who I am?:D

How much evidence do you need? Do you want me to bite a RB's head off and bring it to the Zone:lmao2:

I would hope the team is smarter than that.

Any time a player produces, fans fall over their own feet pleading for an extension. Let it play out. He's played 3 games. He's got a history of quitting.

This. I'm not saying he's Ernie Sims. In fact I feel very good that he is much better. But three games isn't enough for me to throw a ton at him. Keep a guy hungry.

Lord knows don't throw a ton of money at him. But I think there is some validity to signing him while the market value is low. That's totally opposite to anyones take of throwing a lot of money at him.

1. Rolando McClain, Cowboys linebacker:Twiceretired by age 24, McClain has been the most remarkable story of September. The starting middle linebacker is not just the beating heart of the NFL'smost surprising defense; he's also playing better than he ever did as the No. 8 overall draft pick of theOakland Raiders. Formerly a liability in coverage, McClain is hanging with tight ends and running backs in addition to stuffing the run

What s great story and even better that it's happening in Big D!

So how much of this resurgence is attributed to the Marinelli factor?

He also spoke today on the Cowboys Ap (probably on the website too).

I love what Rolando brings to the field but I hate t o watch the guy doing a PC. like today watching him he just looks and sounds like he doesnt care one way or the other. like he always does.
some may worship the ground he walks on ^^^^ but no way I would trust him and sign him without serious protection. if he is for real he would do it. Lee did. its not to much to ask

He may not be very articulate. But he referred to WE rather than I all the time. It seems to be his a team player and not someone who is in this for himself. If you want to be entertained go watch a movie....

Probably comes across lazy, huh?
no no no the dude is a warrior. theres no limit for his ability and seriously he could be All Pro but I dont feel the passion you know? he doesnt sound like he is committed to me but he never does so maybe thats just how he handles the media idk.

when I said I know, I was talking about you. Ive seen your posts and I know you are a big fan of his ;)

not up to me but for a guy who was drafted where he was drafted and quit twice I would look very hard at his character before I made him a multimillionaire. as fans we want to follow our team and players so if he comes across as whatever then I should get all giddy and accept it? nah man he is the movie while we are talking Dallas Cowboys

Is he seriously 24? I thought with all that retirement stuff he would be like 26-27.
he turned 25 in July. Young Baller.

These guys have agents for a reason. If you were his agent, would you sign a deal "before the price gets ridiculous"? Any agent will laugh that off and hold out foe a bigger pay day.

Imagine if McClain were cut tomorrow. Would he be highly sought after as a "solution"?

Because that is what you do in free agency.
