Green Bay didn't target him after his return, they had been pounding away running on the nickel defense out of their no huddle spread all day. It just looked worse late.

Wow. We looked worse after 35 min on the field with at least half a quarter to go. Who'd have figured that?

Honestly, we need to start mandating our players wear the safest style of helmets possible. I see a lot of players using old helmets because they are broken in and comfortable, but probably not safe. I feel like Witten has had the same helmet for ten years, and I'm surprised he hasn't had concussions.

This website has McClain's helmet and Sean Lee's previous helmet(both Air XP) rated at 3 stars. Witten's is rated at 2 stars in terms of safety.

In all seriousness...I didn't think he got kicked that hard....and was looking for an excuse to get out of the game so he wouldn't get trucked by Lacy. ...the 2nd tap out vs Green Bay in less than a year. :(

At first I thought he had the concussion but then I saw him back in the game.

I was wondering if this team, like other teams, are getting themselves in trouble for letting players back in with a concussion or if he just had the wind knocked out of him and was trying to get his breath back when he was leaning against the guy.

Rotoworld is reporting that McClain is in the concussion protocol after complaining about headaches after the game. He was checked during the 4th quarter but was allowed to re-enter. When he did go back in the game they were getting absolutely gashed up the middle. He didn't look right.

Seems odd that he could talk his way back on the field. It looked like he got kicked in the head and when he tried to leave the field he was in distress. It looked like he was shielding his eyes or something, like he had a bad migraine.

Anybody hear anything on this?

Didnt hear anything about that.

But i suggest to decapitate him and he'll be ready to go again. His head aint right anyway (from what i hear and read in this forum).

To me, it looked like a guy with severe brain freeze or that the lights and noise were crippling and he just wanted to crawl into a dark hole somewhere. I have never had migraines but friends have said they can be similarly disabling.

It looked like he took a pretty good shot.

Frankly, that he got himself back out there says something: either his desire is where Dallas needs it to be, or yup, it was a concussion and he had no idea where he was :)

Team should face discipline for letting him back in. Seeing his reaction, I immediately thought he was done for several games

Thankfully there are right thinking people on this board....when I saw Ro go out the other day I absolutely assumed he was done. I won't lie...didn't watch the rest of the game due to the fact I was very frustrated. To now know he came back in the game is friggin' CRIMINAL. I've been a Cowboys fan since 1978 but they are making it so incredibly hard right now to continue.

He was suffering mightily while hanging on to Garrett and the Trainer. They damn well knew he was concussed. If I could tell from my couch, they sure could tell.

The play on the field is one thing, but 'decisions' like this are another. Pissed off beyond belief they put him back in....no GD reason to do that.

My uncle, who smokes six packs a day, has never been diagnosed with cancer. I guess that dispel the notion that cigarettes are bad for a person's health, right?

There's empirical evidence that shows that Witten's type of helmet does not protect the brain as well as others. Not getting a concussion while wearing it could be attributed to many things, but his chances would be even lower if he was wearing a newer model of helmet. I suggest that you look at the research that Virginia Tech compiled about football helmets and concussions. I would tell you not to quit your day job, but the combination of your failure to grasp the concept of a strawman argument and your grammar, makes me think that even if you quit your job, you'll find another ditch to dig somewhere.
