Ken Norton

Ken Norton is who I thought of as well. Once Norton got into Jimmy Johns's fast defense his career took off. He gave that defense an attitude it was lacking(same result when he went to SF). I see Rolando McClain as the same type of player, but with an even higher ceiling than Norton.

Who in the heck is Bryan Cox? Boy if McClain is anything like a NFL player no one has ever heard of, were in trouble.

Man, do some research or talk to knowledgeable football fans before you post something like that. Cox was a helluva player. He was a little crazy, but he was a very physical playmaker. Not a bad comparison as far as playing style. Cox was more verbal and demonstrative than McClain. Both are (were) difference-makers.

I don't think Durant is getting enough love with all the attention Ro is receiving. Durant has been the biggest surprise to me.

I agree. Since returning from injury, Durant's versatility and energy have been a tremendous boost to this defense. This is the best I've seen him play since joining Dallas last year.

Man, I'm feeling old if folks seriously don't know who Brian Cox is.

The 90's Cowboys Def didn't really step forward until they were able to add Charles Haley...........This Defense still has some pieces missing to match the Darren Woodson, Haley, Lett, Maryland defence......but RoMac moves it in the right direction.

i think thats where the comparisons are. cox was a very physicla presence as is ro. and they are both fine players and impact players.cox was a little crazy which is not a bad thing for a defensive player in some ways

Been watching McClain since High School, College, & the NFL and I just can't help but smile when i see him out there making plays for this Dallas team. Since Day 1 I've said that Rolo would be the best off season move Jerry will make going into this season and looks to be a true statement thus far.

I just want to thank Ozzie for drafting his replacement in Mosely & giving Jerry the Blue Light special on this kid because its paying off big time

Hate to say it, but the Sean Lee injury was truly a blessing in disguise. McClain added something to this team that Sean Lee just couldn't do, and I love Lee's game, but McClain has been a difference maker for the overall attitude of this team.
