you can, but admittedly it's tricky. for starters, you have to be prepared to give a reason that has nothing to do with the suspension, because you *can't* release him for that reason. you can say you were surprised by the level of play of new addition Justin Durant, or you plan to move Lee back to MLB, what ever, the reason just can't be the suspension.
second, you lose the ability to go after bonus money, which I doubt we do any way
How about refuses to show up? Obviously doesn't care, or have the right attitude? Left the team in a lurch?
